Wait, do you and Forgiveness usually have a meeting every morning and decide on what and what to say or what to defend? Some people are already insinuating you are one person.

The same gimmicks. Now because u want to promote Josh Maja, you are trying so hard to pull Iwobi down.

Honestly, people that engage u guys on long arguments dey try.

Is the Cameroon national team dead without Mbappe?

Were we not serious when we invited Iwobi? grin

iwobi had impressed in pre-season with Arsenal that's what got him his first invite for the friendlies against cameroon and congo dr. it was his impressive performance for Arsenal in the latter part of the season like the match against everton where he scored his debut goal that really earned him his first competitive call up against egypt. even at that he came off the bench in that match.

no doubt about it iwobi was already in the periphery of the Arsenal first team squad for the 2015/2016 season and not this propaganda you and your tagteam partner are spewing giving the impression that alex was plucked from the arsenal u19s straight to national team

if you erroneously think the national team boosts people career how come sunday mba, agbim, igboun, rueben gabriel, odunlami, oshaniwa, mobi okparaku, gbenga okunowo just to mention a few didn't go on to have long illustrious careers

Gbenga Okunowo was already an established player with Barcelonia first team but was never called to the national team during his stay there. It was when he was in Benfica he got a call to the national team. Fact.

Well, that is why we invited Isaac "The Beast" Success.

And Josh Maja is not better than what we've got. He is doing it in league one for goodness sake. Is league 1 as tough as the Championship now? Tammy scored goals for fun in the championship and didn't deliver in the EPL. Let Josh Maja show his stuff on a bigger stage because even a flop Ighalo once shone in the EPL. No way is Josh better than what we have as options in the CF role.

forgiveness:

I never said cap all these players at once. I am saying cap the ones that have pledged to play for us and are currently doing well. Especially, Eze and Josh Maja who are currently in the radar of big clubs and are currently in the form of their life.

How long does it take to cap a player?

If you are talking about pressing issues, then we have problem with the CF position. grin

Exclusive – Kano Pillars & Nigeria U20 Teen Wonder Alhassan Ibrahim Joins Nazifi Yahaya At Danish Side Brondby

October 10, 2018

Danish side Brondby are in pole position to sign Kano Pillars midfield maestro Alhassan Ibrahim according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team ‎.

Yahaya who is a regular for the Nigeria U20 team, who are through to next year Africa U20 Cup of Nations will spend time with the Danish side later this month ahead of a possible move to the team, when the transfer window opens in January.

At the club he will team up with his Nigeria U20 and Kano Pillars teammate Nazifi Yahaya who is waiting to turn 18 before penning a professional deal with the Danish side after impressing during a short trial earlier this year.

The duo are expected to depart Nigeria for Denmark next week after the final game of the Aiteo Cup with their team Kano Pillars currently through to the semi-final of the Nigerian version of the FA Cup.

It is believed that the deal for Alhassan Ibrahim to train with Brondby was brokered by same agent Cem Sagar , who also facilitated the deal for Yahaya to spend time with same club.

Well he didn't because he had Igboun. Iwobi was a newbie just coming in. Iwobi could be used on the wings and through the middle and most important of all he is a creative player. Oliseh brought him in because of that and to do that, he had to cap him of course but even Iwobi's allegiance was not sealed until we capped him in a competitive game.

It is a simple truth. We were in need of more quality options in the creative dept and Oliseh saw that Iwobi's talents could serve us for a long time and today we are enjoying that foresight. wink

forgiveness:

Alex Iwobi was never brought to the team to address the AMF problem. He was just brought into the team to be capped. That's all.

When made his debut against DR Congo, he was played on the RW. When Oliseh played him against Cameroon in the next match, he was played on the same wing.

Why did Oliseh not use him on that role in two friendlies for that matter to see if he can address the issue? grin

Don't forget, Oliseh didn't bother to use him to address any problem in the two crucial matches against Swaziland. grin

Make una no deceive us here. grin

Sone Aluko di not leave, check your history and look at the impact Sone Aluko had for the SE then explain why he was dropped. But dont imply in such a way it misleads as if he refused to honour invitations to the SE.

It was a very misleading narrative.

Agreed without any iota of reservation. grin

Well, capping Josh may have to wait a little more because Rohr called up 8 forwards for this game and there is even no Kayode or Simy. I don't mind us capping the lad but again it depends on if Rohr is willing to pay the price of dropping any of the 8 forwards he invited for the Libya game in the next window come November.

So time will tell.

Sorry to burst your bubble that's an opinion not a fact.

What bearing does that have on the discourse which is centred on double standard in selection for the SE.
What is a fact? That Iwobi was already training with Arsenal's first team before he got invited?? Iwobi was not an academy player when he got called up by Oliseh.

I read this on social media too... But I have a few questions. At what age was Mbappe when his father "wanted" the kid to play for Cameroun? This is the same Mbappe that began with France's U-17. Anyway shaa... Cameroun's loss I know but still they won something without him. That's my point. Or you wanna tell me with Mbappe they will win the WC? Lol

forgiveness:

No need for too much story. Hear from the father's mouth. Cameroon fa was to be blamed.

“I wanted my son to play for Cameroon national team but the football federation charged a certain amount that I didn’t have but France didn’t charge me a penny,” Mbappe said.

I wanted my son to play for Cameroon but their football federation wanted money ...

How fortunes turn in football is quite funny, Joel Asoro was the more respected youngster in the Sunderland ranks prior this season, in fact, Maja played second fiddle to him, hence didnt get much recognition. Asoro was too big to go down to the league 1 with Sunderland, he instead remained in the championship though with Swansea, leaving Sunderland with the less heralded Maja. Today, Maja is the toast ahead of Asoro, and he is doing it from a league lower than Asoro's. News reaching our desk, has it that Maja is a sure bet for Southampton and or Newcastle, come January but they will have to fight off other bigger epl clubs who view the youngster as the real deal. It is almost certain that Maja wont stay in the league1 past the winter transfer window as he is looking to follow in the foot steps of lookman, Alli et al who made the big leap to the EPL from the league 1

Hmmm!

Was the state/standard of the national team when Iwobi broke-in in 2015 same as the current standard in 2018?

This is not like mathematics where 1+1=2 both in 1830 and in 2018.

Haha the bar has been raised bro.

I gave a simple example of how Iheanacho would not have smelt the national team during the era of Martins, Yakubu, Ike Uche, Utaka and Osaze. The bar was a lot higher then.

And our dream is to continue to raise the current bar so that only players with proven quality can make it in.

Which bar? We say cap somebori, you dey yan bar.

Iwobi was not even considered as a major prospect in the England youth set up at at 16 there was talk of dropping himat Arsenal. He was called to the SE when he had not played one game for Arsenal first team, no doubt his Uncle JJay had some influence.

Josh Maja at 17 when Sunderland were in the EPL had already played for the first team. At 18 he had played 17 games in the championship now at 19 he has played 12 games and scored 9 goals that is a phenomenal strike rate for a teenager.

Isaac success in now his third season in the EPL and in his third season scored one goal that is what some cal progress here. KC in his second season in the EPL scored in total 4 goals for Leicester.

Some have said that if KC was in league one he would be scoring for fun, football doesn't work like that. I will ask how many games did KC after his move to Leicester play for the U23 and how many goals did he score So i cant be the top goal scorer in the youth league you think he will automatically be top goal scorer in league one. i very much doubt it.

League one is not as easy as some think ask the EPL clubs beaten by league one clubs I watched Tottenham struggle against Shrewsbury town.

In my opnion Josh Maja is the most in form potent srtriker availbale to the SE right now, however , if that will transfer to international football is another question. But we will never know until he is given opportunity and if we keep wasting time Southgate will not and he will be in Englands u21 while we wait for our so called SPECIAL TALENTS who have done nothing and are still doing nothing.

We have a bright star who is boiling hot and some are debating if he is good enough.

When I talk now, some asslickers would say I disrespect u, but just look at the bolded in green. Imagine, because u wanna bring down KC and Success, u now acknowledged the fact that Maja made his epl debut aged 17, but u were the exact same man who was abusing Pinnick for inviting this 17 year old epl boy instead of ur choice of boys Iorfa, Solanke et al. Then, u forgot Maja made his epl debut in such a young age and was worth that look in, but, suddenly, u just realised because, u needed it to pull some hated players down. U are such a hypocrite, u are the most emotively biased person I have come across online. U tell lies like ur life depends on it just like a typical Nigerian. Yes u claim to be born in the UK but it is quite a shame that in attitude and judgement, u are more Nigerian than most in here who never had that privilege of being born outside. I said this because u view and judge things like a typical Nigerian who doesnt know what fairness is, u are so self-Centred biased that u always tend to kill the truth as long as it doesnt support ur view. Man!!! Arrrh

Super Eagles camp update

1. Isaac Success looking really fit and raring to go. Reports say he scored a screamer in training earlier. His shooting is as beastly as his stature.

I recall when Chriskels and I shared pics of Success' personal hardwork being put into Preseason ahead of the ongoing 2018/2019 season and now we can look back and say, "indeed the lad meant business all the while". We pray he keeps this up.

2. Isaac Success in training.

3. Is that Onazi's new haircut? Chaaaiiii... Awkward. Lol

The other player is Shehu.
