Empower yourself with wealth of information by reading the first few pages of this thread, then walk into the bank like a boss and give them instructions on what to do for you. if they feign ignorance, lecture them. by so doing they will know that you are not JJC and if they still insist threaten to call the head office and see how they will turn you to a mini god right away.

I am into access bank tbills secondary
market. Interest is upfront, rates are the lowest. You can monitor the rates or even invest online through tbills.ng

have you guys tried investment banks... they offer fairly better rates than the federal government... you get your interest upfront too.. the 5million my uncle did last week for 180days was done on 15.5% interest PA and he got his upfront same day.

I'm am satisfied with the federal Government.. Tills gives rest of mind.

The information youprovided is valid, regarding some investment house, like investment one, which current rate on VGIF. Is currently 15.67%, I do it and I take, my interest at the end of the tenure, I have been running it for 3 straight years now,
Acidosis:
Sometimes it's good to remind ourselves that TBills isn't the only investment option out there, and the common deposit money banks (e.g. GTB, Stanbic, etc) aren't the only licensed and regulated investment-/banks in the country. There are several investment banks and over 500 microfinance banks offering similar services in Nigeria and some of them even give loans at better interest rates with no bottleneck.

As a matter of fact, TBills isn't even the core business of a deposit money bank like GTB or Stanbic Bank. It is the core duty of Investment centres such as ARM, Mansard, VFD, etc. Many big investors don't do deposit money banks as many of them don't have the time to fill forms in the conventional banks. They go to where they're well respected and given due and quality attention - and that's what many investment centres stand for. Do I need to mention that some of these investment centres pay their staff more than what staffs of conventional banks earn?

If we must criticize, at least let's do it with an open mind. The common belief here is that Stanbic offers the best TBill services; some even hold on to this belief to the extent they don't believe other deposit money banks offer similar or better services.

I was criticized on this thread sometime ago for mentioning my experience with Sterling bank. Today, the same Sterling bank came up with the i-Invest app while the likes of Stanbic and Firstbank are still in existence.

That's really strange with stanbic cos they are among the top three when it comes to tb. well, just walk to the customer care department of access bank and request for the day's available rate as its dynamic and not static

I think only banks in Lagos are knowledgeable about TB. If you are anywhere else in the country apart from Lagos, most of the bank reps behave like complete zombies when you mention TB

Please when is the next auction date?

I wanted to buy into secondary market few days back. Lack of knowledge made me go around 2pm and I was told i will have to submit my bid latest 1pm of any day. Since then, the bank is always crowded and I feel i don't have that zeal to stay in a bank crowd for hours so I quit and told myself to wait for the next auction day.

Put me through please. Do I have to make my bid a day before the auction date and precisely before the same 1pm quoted by the bank?
