Just saw this screamer of a goal from Ighalo. So sad he doesn't replicate it playing for us. Here's the link: http://instagram.com/p/BnxS7YVn05-/

The goal was cancelled after VAR. It appears that against better defenders, he does not have the confidence to try things like that.

I was there but if I didn't know Iwobi I would be asking what the Jordon Hybe is about. He didn't do anything we see on TV,, in fact his best moment was a delicious chip of Ezenwa something he has not done yet

Ighalo seems to be on a mission. He was no smiles while coming and he didn't look like a guy lacking in confidence but I wouldn't call yesterday's performance a mind changer because they didn't do much.

I was most impressed with Ola Aina. Seems to have lost a bit of weight and not only did he score 2 belters he looked more comfortable defensively.

Also I don't think those calling for Henry as top 9 know exactly how slender the boy's frame is

. I don't think it's lack of confidence that's his problem. I feel like he's just been very very unlucky wearing our colours. I sincerely do hope he scores on Saturday. Why was the goal cancelled though?

It is not about luck. He does not click with Nigeria and i think it is because he is average. We have had strikers like him before but they were not the number 1 striker. People like Akwuegbu and Akpoborie.

Rohr team A in training. Most likely starting line up.

Team A:

Francis Uzoho

Shehu Abdullahi

Jamilu Collins

Leon Balogun ‎

William Troost-Ekong

Ogenyi Onazi

Wilfred Ndidi

Alex Iwobi

Ahmed Musa

Samuel Kalu

Odion Ighalo

I hope this is it. though I'll prefer Aina ahead of Shehu. Collins ahead if Idowu is very okay for me. this might just be our chance to get a proper LB...
Iwobi at AMF will b exciting to watch. With the creativity in midfield and d flank,Ighalo has ni excuse not to deliver. Even if he doesn't score again,we want some impact from him!

Bundesliga sides Nurnberge, Hannover and Stuttgart are rumored to be preparing a January bid for Paderbon Nigerian left full back, Jamil Collins who has been somewhat a big hit for the promotion chasing 2 Bundesliga side.

Cardif and Huddersfield are also reported to have registered interests in Rotterdam's former Arsenal youth team captain, Semi Ajayi

. He hit the bar twice. One against England and the other against Seychelles. That's quite unlucky to me. Average? Maybe but no one can really say he's not been trying to score. I hope he scores to redeem his image for some time or at least for his sanity grin grin

Either he is bang average or just unlucky... The guy just can't convert his chance well..

I can't remember a game he has played under Rohr where he didn't get a scoring chance .. Do u remember that Zambia game in Uyo? When Iwobi made a mad run for the ball after a failed Zambia corner...He got the ball from his opponent and laid a beautiful pass for Ighalo who had just the keeper to beat.. He couldn't even trap the ball properly and lost it.. Mehn. it was painful... Add to the two chances he missed against Argentina...

If he can't deliver against Libya tomorrow,he should be dropped !!

I guess super eagles have been playing against better defenders for long .

As far as I am concerned it's been long the super eagles team played against better defenders, the only better defenders the eagles has played against are the Croatians during the World Cup,the rest are average defenders including the argentines,or na Cameroon ,South Africa Zambia wey ighalo play against you wan call better defenders ? If so then I don't think you know who is a better defender

The Chinese league got weak defenders but world class tevez could only score 4 goals in 16 games.

Ighalo has not been playing well for the eagles we all know that and that's bad ,but don't tell me the eagles has been playing against team with better defenders ,when we are not playing Brazil Belgium Italy and others big nations

Which Nigeria striker is world class ?

Yes ighalo is average .

But sorry bro ,there is no single world class player in the super eagles

So what are you trying to say ?

The worst thing Rohr will do to us tomorrow is

(1) Playing Iwobi as a winger.

(2) Playing Iheanacho or Etebo as a no.10

(3) Starting Idowu

(4) Starting Shehu ahead of Aina

(5) Starting both Onazi and Ndidi. Two destroyers in one midfield. Haba!.

(6) Playing Iheanacho or Success as a top 9 ahead of Ighalo. (I know he won't do this one sha).

(7) Giving his usual flimsy excuses if we don't get a result.

Super Eagles camp update

1. Isaac Success looking really fit and raring to go. Reports say he scored a screamer in training earlier. His shooting is as beastly as his stature.

I recall when Chriskels and I shared pics of Success' personal hardwork being put into Preseason ahead of the ongoing 2018/2019 season and now we can look back and say, "indeed the lad meant business all the while". We pray he keeps this up.

2. Isaac Success in training.

3. Is that Onazi's new haircut? Chaaaiiii... Awkward. Lol

The other player is Shehu.

Oga. that Onazi hairstyle is very cool. Nothing wrong with it... Its similar to Joel Obi's

Alex Iwobi was never brought to the team to address the AMF problem. He was just brought into the team to be capped. That's all.

When he made his debut against DR Congo, he was played on the RW. When Oliseh played him against Cameroon in the next match, he was played on the same wing.

Why did Oliseh not use him on that role in two friendlies for that matter to see if he can address the issue? grin

Don't forget, Oliseh didn't bother to use him to address any problem in the two crucial matches against Swaziland. grin

Make una no deceive us here. grin
