Congrats! Good timeline. Go and shine!

There should be an email contact on your letter. Send an email explaining your situation and ask for an extension of the deadline to submit your passport covering your time of travel.
There is no email. They just sent the PPR, no email attached should there be any complaints

My people, IELTS wants to try me oo. Wrote the 29th September BC(1st attempt) and the result just came out. LRWS 8.0,6.5,7,8.0. The thing is I was scared of the listening cos I couldn’t quite figure out the answers of a particular section(15-20), but definitely not reading. I am sure of the writing but I can dash them that one but not the reading. I was expecting a 9 or 8.5 not a 6.5. Anyways, I want to apply for a remark of the reading, please what is the process like?

Same thing with me. I was so sure of the reading. I expected an 8, at the least.

Congrats to everybody who aced IELTS. The rest of us, let's keep trying.

In other news, Part 1 of my Canada story almost over after 9 months since decision to travel. Spouse ECA received and IELTS results out. CRS jumping from 423 to 447. My marathon stay in the pool almost over.

Fingers crossed for next Wednesday.

NB: now I know why the number of candidates with high CRS score in the EE pool jumps from Friday to draw on Wednesday. IELTS General Training tests globally comes out the week before the draw (here). So you see people worldwide massively collecting their TRF between Friday and Tuesday and diving into the pool or updating their profile against Wednesday.

Pls indulge me, I want to rant. What is wrong with our institutions? If they must employ more hands then they should.I have being on verification stage for 3 weeks now and the only institution I don’t have a contact was the only one that has responded.... kudos to WAEC.Even with the increase number (recorded over 50,000)applicants in a month, they were still able to do their jobs without pulling a string.... All All Unilag knows is to extort and they would claim “University of first choice”..my foot! As for Lautech, I just dey observe, I would literally ask WES to remove the certificate. How can an institution that generates internal revenue from transcript ,admission and the likes claim their network was struck by thunder since last week yet they haven’t resolved the issue? And they complain the states government running them are sabotaging? What’s the difference btw 6 and half a dozen? Hmmmm, I don calm small.Na dem go tire las las.

my sister 3weeks na small pikin play. mine was at verification stage for over 3months with server down, when server was restored they couldn't find the verification letter. I had to go to my rector's office to cry like I will die there. it's a terrible country we were born into, and you can't imagine how much I spent on hand greasing. still do not dismay you just have to encourage yourself and keep badgering and romancing them, it will end well

IELTS success story of my husband (PA)
Wrote first IELTS June last year and had 6 in listening, didn't take it serious then because my husband got a job offer in the UK and UK started with their plenty rules and we dragged till February this year. We decided to continue with Canada and we both evaluated our foreign MSc and had it ready since April.... And the struggle with IELTS began... Sorry, I no longer have the exact scores
March(BC): reading and writing, EOR: unchanged
April(MOD): missed the exam, we applied for UK visa and visa exceeded the 14days period so passport wasn't available. We called, mailed but they couldn't help (BC and British embassy)
May(MOD): reading, too late to apply for EOR because we didn't know it's 6wks from exam date and not 6wks from the date result was released
June(MOD): Listening, EOR unchanged
September 29(BC): LSRW- 8877.5
CRS: 443
All documents almost ready except for pof, God will surely see us through.
I'll/might still write IELTS incase the draw increases.

Were we discouraged/tired? YES
Were we encouraged? YES, PR is the focus
It will end in praise for us all

Top of the day People,

Many thanks for the prompt response, i have been doing my best to keep up with conversations in this forum..sometimes it can been overwhelming. Anyways, i was wondering, in order to brush up on my writing and reading skills, i'm thinking i would need like a virtual tutor or a legit place where one can get tutorials (rate me on my writing and reading alone). so many entities and individuals claims to be experts in IELTS its scary.i would appreciate if anybody can point me in the right direction. i currently reside in ibadan. Thanks

Finally, IELTS has been put to the cross.

I have no choice but to step out from the shadows as a keen and silent observer to motivate and encourage someone in this big family.

1st attempt (BC, April '18)
L - 8.5
R -8.0
W -7.0
S - 7.5
Right from the onset, the aim had been to max out to hit 441 (if u know, you know grin). Because of the urge to enter the pool (CRS - 438) and belief that CRS was going to drop based on last year's draws, I didn't bother to request for a remark. After waiting and closely following the draws, I realized that this was not going to happen. I decided to write TEF - I have intermediate french knowledge - in June since I stood a better chance of raking in more points. TEF didn't bulge and humbled me. Still, I refused to be discouraged and remained resolute.

2nd attempt (BC, September '18)
L - 8.0
R - 9.0
W - 6.5
S - 7.0
After putting in extra preparation, BC hit me with this result. I didn't even know whether to laugh or cry but I was certain this was an anomaly. I didn't even think of an EOR as I believed it was a lost cause. As usual, I refused to let it get to me and immediately searched for available exam slots. I decided to give MOD a shot and was lucky to get a seat in less than 1 week outside my town. Yes, the struggle was for 3 additional points but trust me, every single point you can get counts in this journey.

3rd Attempt (MOD, September '18)
L - 9.0
R - 9.0
W - 7.5
S - 8.5

God finally came through for me. Safe to say MOD was the game changer. Waiting for this result was mentally exhausting as I kept second guessing myself all through the waiting period even though I knew I gave my best. To say I am relieved and elated is an understatement. Now sitting at 441 and hoping CRS drops soonest - The next battle !

To everybody battling with IELTS, please do not give up. Remain resolute, prepare harder and heaven will definitely favour you.

Tweaked it how? Im desperate to know what I did wrong in my writing.

my result LSRW : 8.5,7.5,9.0,6.5.. I just feel I've done the best i can. I will apply for a remark but i will also retake the exam. I dont think Liz videos helped because i followed all her instructions to the last.. I think I need to do somthing different..Any Ideas plsssss??

Hmmmm my people I'm back oh this time with testimony...

I did remark nd after 2 weeks the result came back unchanged, I just focused on preparing for sept 29th exam. Third attempt...

After my writing i came out of the hall and suddenly realised I made a huge mistake. The question was some people think TV advertising is useful, others however do not agree. What is your opinion on this?? I just dived in and started a two sided discussion essay. It wasnt until I left the hall I realized it was meant to be a one sided OPINION essay. Chai I cried eh. I told hubby no need I will fail it and I quickly booked for 13th Oct without waiting to see the result.

Lo and behold while I was on my way for my speaking test today I decided to check and result was LRSW: 8.5,9,7.5,7

OMO I shouted eh, chai this God e too good oh...

But in all I think what I learnt is that each of the criteria is VERY important. I may have failed TA by I guess the rest were on point for me to get a 7. I was really conscious of my CC and GRA.

Anyway see you guys in the hall tomorrow cos I cannot come and waste my 75k. Beside if the writing reach 7.5 e no bad joor....

Hi, sorry about your result, just try again when you are better prepared.

I feel like i should point out some things to you, and i hope you do not see what i am about to do as an affront.

You need to watch your grammar and try as much as you can not to write in shorthand, from the few posts you made that i have seen, there are some errors. Eg. Please see comments above.

I mean no harm, just helping.

You are welcome. Please check out lansky suggestion for preparing for the test.

I don't know why your story moved me into commenting, but i will tell you this.

If you have the courage to post your test result, maybe you may get pointers on how to improve on the parts you're weakest.

English language comes a bit more easy to some people, that you didn't get your desired score doesn't mean you are not smart, you just have to practice better for the next one that's all.

Take care.
