the injury to Onazi now moves Shehu to the midfield since only ogu and Etebo are the only other midfielders left.
Rohr still has options in RB/ LB as idowu, Aina can play right back and then Collins also available in the left back role.
Iwobi will play number 10

Well said. Shehu can easily slot in to partner Ndidi. Ogu is not a bad option either. There is no cause for alarm.

mazimee:

Ogu is still there, Etebo will start . Shehu is a Midfielder, and plays same for his club.

If Rohr get sense, he should start Aina.

these people are inconsequential. Even when OBJ contested for President in his second term, he did not have the support of SW

The only thing that has remained constant in the SW is that they never really give a majority to the PDP. Aside 2011, it's usually a tight race in the SW..... But I expect the MB to give the deciding votes come 2019.

what about Ndidi?

There are three midfielders left, there is no reason why Shehu should be moved to MF. If anyone must be sent to MF, bad as e be, Rohr will throw Iwobi in first, even Iheanacho sef, before Shehu

Haha

But seriously, why can’t we have a third powerful ticket. I’m mulling over a Sanusi/Duke ticket. It’s only a fantasy though.

Sanusi is an Emir. He has gone above and beyond candidacy for political parties. He is royalty

Sanusi/Duke will fail. Duke does not enjoy as much goodwill as he once did

I am seriously convinced that Shehu is always in the team because of some NFF politicking

I will not say anything about NFF politics

But if shehu start ahead of aina,I will be angry .

Onazi injured, out of the Libya game.

Blessing in disguise. Just partner Etebo and Ndidi with Iwobi ahead of the two. Onazi was never good enough, after all

That is my problem with you guys. Once you have another option you forget the labour of the heroes past. What has Ighalo, Iheanacho, Onazi, done in the National Colours in recent memory. Nothing Outstanding! What has Aina done in the National Colours? Shehu produced a Man of the match performance for his club in their last match so why do you want such a player dropped that is my point. Thanks

E Don happen now. Thank God Shehu still de.

Let's see how the old man respond tomorrow.

When u have the squad they boast of, u cant be doing any less. They av got it loaded in every department and they are gelling so fast. Most of the pretenders(Onazi, Ogu, Agu, joel even Etebo et al) we Parade as midfielders, cant make ivory coast squad. Only Ndidi and Iwobi can make that team and start also. Gbam!!!

The question really is who would Rohr put faith in? Shehu is known to him. He is comfortable with Shehu as RB. But will he rather conclude that Aina is now better because of his recent games in Torino? I don’t think that will be enough to convince Rohr. MAYBE, what he sees in camp will, and that’s if Aina shows he is better.

More likely. Or maybe Ogu. I really don’t see Rohr moving Shehu to the midfield. I will be surprised if he does. I doubt Aina starting.

This statement of yours is the reason some players don't give their all in National Colours. Shehu excelled at a position where both Ndidi and Omeruo flopped (right back) now that you have an untested Aina you want him dropped. Why? If I may ask.

Shehu was exposed in the run up to the world cup. Ebuehi was always coming in to rescue the right wing.

Aina is playing the role more frequently than Shehu and at a high level too.. Shehu plays as a midfielder in his club

you have said it all.

The man will rather see an half fit Shehu start than have a fully fit and in form Aina or Ebuehi start ahead of the makeshift full back.

I don't see Ogu Starting.

If Etebo starts, Rohr might trust him with the set pieces and so start Alex in the middle behind Ighalo and flank him on both sides with Musa(L) and Kalu(R). Thereby pushing Iheanacho to the bench.

Quick recovery to Onazi. We should learn to appreciate and critisize these players when neccesary.
Meanwhile updates from camp is pointing that Rhor will replace Onazi with Etebo. We still have Ogu, Shehu and Ajayi who can fill in that role. In my opinion Ogu would have been d best partner to Ndidi. Etebo's ability to play multiple roles has made him a master none just like Iheanacho and their place should be on the bench.

who is sanusi?
you really not a political inclined person.
sanusi is now an emir....so don't think...they take up active political rule...save for the saduana of sokoto in the first republic.

Won't be bad to start Ogu. His passing is slightly better than the rest...let him play as a regista while Ndidi goes around breaking up play.

Sanusi/Adesina or Iweala is my dream ticket. Sanusi is my favorite northern public figure. Shame he never ran for Presidency even once.
