If only ignorant and unexposed parents understand that tribal marks were done mainly to identify one's origin in the days of the Yoruba wars. You could distinguish between an Oyo man and an Egba or Ogbomoso man for instance. It should have gone extinct after the wars but for some, it became family tradition or a way to beautify themselves (by their own understanding). They also had tatoos which has become a desirable thing in today's world.

People with disabilities sometimes get humiliated too but the strong ones cope beautifully well. Its always good to be positive in any situation that we find ourselves. God takes care of everyone.

She should have gone ahead to study more anyway. The courage she has now will see her through if she still intends to study law.

By the way, isn't it possible to remove the marks by plastic surgery? Maybe doctors in the house can advise for others to learn.

This lady will never forgive her parents for making such a terrible mistake which could have destroyed her modelling dream if she hadn't stood strong.

I like this lady's spirit. I'm awed by her resolve to fight her way to achieving her dreams. I'm an Igbo guy but I so love this girl's determination. Inspiring.

Besides, you are very beautiful. Let no one tell you otherwise.

NIGHTMARE0O7:
shocked
But Yoruba parents Can be very wicked.
See how they nearly spoil this lady face with their Afonja mark.

Thank God she was able to stand tall with it.

It's shocking that someone can take an innocent child and destroy their faces with these primitive markings.
See as woman come look like cat.
They couldn't even make the thing similar on both sides.
Whenever I see a young person with marks I always think how primitive her parents must be

Go to aesthetic clinic and remove it jor.

And I love the way Yorubas always ignore the stupid tribalistic Ibos chanting "skull mining Yoruba" on every thread. I think they feel inferior and it's a kind of tribe-preservative mechanism for them. Keep ignoring them they don't worth your time

I'm telling u, they look exactly like cat.
YORUBAS have refused to drop their old primitive traditions, yet they claim to be educated and sophisticated.
IGBOS used to do tribal mark and it's not even as bad as this, just one small mark on both cheeks, and they have stopped it very long ago.
But our self acclaimed sophisticated and educated YOruba brothers still practice their backward primitiv tradition, such as tribal mark, female circumcision, oro tradition(to bury a dead king with 7human heads)
abobaku tradition.(to bury a dead king will a particular chosen person alive)

Yet they keep pointing fingers at IGBOS who are far ahead of them in civilization.
