Anny sat down at the Triangle point waiting for the master, it was called the triangle point because the room had a triangle shape, it had just plastic chairs inside.he had been calling her since she was in Port Harcourt with James, she wondered why he was calling her, did he find out that she was nursing feelings for James?, she really loves him, she needed to kill the remaining founders of the CLAVE, so that she can be free to love, the members would be handled by the police. she looked up at the ceiling and noticed that the ceiling fan's hook had been loosed a little and the fan would cut any moment from then and fall on her, she stood up immediately and ran out of the room, she bumped into the Master at the door. she followed him back inside and found out that the fan had cut entirely and was now on top of the plastic chair she was sitting on before. she broke into tears, she would have been dead if she hadn't looked up and noticed the fan.

"Where were you Anny? the master asked sitting down.

" Am sorry master, I was forced out of owerri" she said going on her knees.

"Listen to me Anny, you can't toy with me, I know that you left the city with that police man, have you fallen in love with him? I called you severally but couldn't get you on the phone" he said looking down at her.

"no sir, am not in love with him, I didn't know that he is a police man, they saved me from Spark and Host" she said still on her knees.

"I made the fan fall, I wanted to teach you a lesson, but you are lucky, and as from today, I want you to concentrate on the mission, forget about love, I repeat, forget about love, once you get all the founders killed, leave the members to me, I sent you on this mission because you are a daughter of a locksmith and you can easily pick a lock without struggles" he said bringing out his cell phone.

"Am sorry sir, please forgive me" she said bringing her face up.

"Who is next on the list to die?" he asked typing away on his phone.

"It is Taiwo Segun, he is the next on the list" she said standing up on her feet.

"He stays at 33 first inland road owerri, the first bungalow by the right is his house, he has a beer factory located at No 1 pharm estate owerri, you know what to do, get into the house, pick the lock of the door to his room and stab him to death. I got news from our insider that he sleeps in a different room with his wife, killing him will not be hard". he concluded keeping his phone on top of a chair.

" Yes sir, when will I go for the operation?" she asked still eyeing the ceiling fan on the floor.

"Get ready Anny, you will kill him tonight, and this time around, you are using a different weapon" he said standing up.

"Which weapon master?

" You will kill him with a syringe, fill it up with the deadly poison and stab him with it, he will die slowly " he said heading towards the door but stopped immediately.

"I will send Zina over here to clean the room up, you have to prepare for the operation" he said without turning back.

"Yes master," she answered sitting down, she was going to kill another person, she was scared that she will get caught this time, she shook her head as if to shake off the negative thought, one thing was on her mind and that was to get them all killed.

James rushed into his parents house breathlessly, he was driving so fast on their way to Aba that Gabriel had to switch and take over the steering.

"Mom, Dad, am home, where are you?" he shouted going into the room.

"They are not here bro" Gabriel said breathing heavily.

"I hope something bad has not happened to them, I can't loose them" he said sitting down helplessly on the floor.

"Look" Gabriel shouted bringing his attention to a written note lying on the table.

"What is that?" James asked crawling towards the table.

"It is a written note" he answered bringing it up.

James took it and started reading.


"James Acho, no one has ever gone against us and went Scott free, if you want to see your parents come to the address below alone, if you play smart then your parents will be dead.

"The Eden's Villa, Close to the abandoned bakery along Yaradua drive owerri, don't forget to come alone."

James shouted holding his head, did he make a mistake by becoming a police man, he searched around for his phone as an idea hit him, he placed a call to the D.P.O.

"Hello sir" he said immediately the man answered his phone

"James my boy, how are, where are you?, you left the hospital without telling any of us, with your wound still fresh, where are you now at the moment?" he asked letting out a little cough.

"Sir am in trouble, my parents has been kidnapped by a group of dangerous men, and I just found out that Tobi and Max are working for them, sir please I want you to release some men for me, I need to save my parents" he concluded closing his eyes.

"What do you mean by that?, I thought I left that case in the hands of Tobi and Max, why did you get involved?, you are unwell" he replied in a caring manner.

"I know sir, but please get some men ready for me, I will be in owerri in the next two hours, my parents lives are in danger" he mutterd scratching his head.

"Just get over here boy and let's talk about it" he concluded hanging up.

"Are you crazy? they told you to come alone, do you want to get your parents killed?" Gabriel asked angrily.

"that's the only thing I can think of for now?, what is the time?" he asked Gabriel folding the written note.

"this is 4:15" He replied checking his wristwatch.


"How many hours will it take us to get to owerri?" he asked tapping his foot on the floor.

"2 hours most, if the road will be free, or we take the short cut and burst out at Naze" he replied him.

"We take the short cut then, let's get going, we need to be in owerri before 7pm" he answered walking out of the house.









Mara sat down with his father in the living room, she was going to say something that might anger him but she would have to try.

"Dad, I want you to do me a favour" she said straightening her hair.

"What is it child?" he asked shifting his gaze from the television to her.

"Dad can you please bail mother out? she has suffered enough and she feels remorse for what she did, please Dad, she is the only mother I know, Aunt Margaret doesn't even remember who I am, Please bail mother out" she replied with a shaking lips.

"Are you out of your mind?, what nonsense are you spewing out of your mouth?, she did bad things, she is responsible for your mother's memory loss, she separated you from your mother, and you are here saying rubbish, she is going to rot in prison" he shouted banging his hand on the table.


"Dad please, I have forgiven her already, she has been my mother for the past 26 years, she is the only mother I know, please let her come home" she said going on her knees.

"I will never do such nonsense, listen to me young lady, let today be the end of you bringing up such topic in my presence again, now leave this place this minute" he harshly replied.

"You know what? I hate you, when you came back I thought that you came back as my father, I was ready to forgive and forget all the things you did to us, but the man am seeing here now is not my father, he is a man blinded by rage and pure hatred, how do you even feel? your younger daughter has refused coming home from her hostel all because you locked her mom up, can't you see dad? you are tearing our family apart" she replied now sobbing.

"I don't care if your sister wants to come home or stay back in school, am not bailing Agness and that is final, now leave my site before I give you a dirty slap" he replied rising to his full height.

"I hate you, before you came into our lives we were happy, you just came and took away our happiness" she replied standing up on her feet and dusting her skirt.

"Now I won't have you talk to me like that Mara, am your father and you have to show some respect or else I will deal with you in a way that you won't forget" he replied daring her to say another word.

"Take care of yourself Dad, enjoy your house alone because am leaving your house for you" she said walking away, what happened to her father? why was he so harsh? why was such hatred in his voice, what her mother did was very bad but her father was going far, she had seen rage in his eyes when he talked to her, whatever it was, she needed her father back.

And as for mara, what you have for your stepmom is just true and pure love, but remember that if not for her ordeal in the past you wouldn't have be so close to her. I just hope your mom recover in time, so that you will get know mother's love.

Funmilayo walked around her apartment smiling, Williams had bailed her the previous week and had given her money to get settled in any state of her choice but she decided to stay back in owerri, she sat down to think of what her plan would look like. she would deal with Williams first and then face Johnson, she had not still forgotten about him, she smiled wickedly.


"they think they will stay happy forever?, they lie. their happiness will be for a short while, I will make all of them pay" she said through gritted teeth.





James got to the Eden's villa alone as instructed, he called the number he was instructed to call and someone came to pick him up, they blindfolded him and pushed him into a room, they sat him on a chair and told him to wait for the Boss to meet them, his heart was pounding heavily, he hoped that the D.P.O would send the men as planned or else he would be done for.


"At last, we caught you young man" James heard someone say.

"remove the blindfold" he said again smirking.

"You?, you are the Boss, what?" James shouted as soon as he saw who the boss was.

"Yes, am the boss, are you surprised?" he asked leaning forward.


"But your name is not included in the list of the founders, how come?" James asked still surprised.

"Oh no son, am not one of the founders but am more dangerous than the founders, am the owner of the institute where the CLAVES meet and interview the ladies before shipping them off to any country they want, I left you for Spark to handle but you escaped from him twice, so I decided to handle you myself, you see son, you have given us sleepless nights, every time we meet, we bring you up and discuss extensively, and I think that today will be the last day you will spend on earth" he said relaxing on his seat.

"I took you as my father, you betrayed us, you betrayed the family" James said clenching his fist.

"Damn the family son, where was the family when my pharmaceutical industry was going bankrupt, I cried to the family and they did nothing, the only family I have now are the CLAVES, they came at the right time and wiped away my tears" he replied closing his eyes.

"I don't understand, what do you mean?" James asked spreading his hands out in confusion.

"You see son, I own a pharmaceutical industry along Jacob Zuma road, close to the cathedral, but at a time, I started looking for money, I became broke, I came to your so called family and they turned deaf ear to me because they were angry that I had another business I was doing, I was shattered until a man came to meet me one day and offered me a deal, I was told to use my industry as an interview place, I got connections from abroad to make the ladies swallow hard drugs and vomit them once they cross the border, we only use the ones that we trust though, the ones that are smart and we get them plane tickets, they don't join others in the ship so as to get to the airport on time and remove the drugs. to people, I sell drugs good for human consumption, no one knows what goes on in the inside of the institute" he said motioning to one of the guys to get him his tobacco.


"I can't believe this, not only do you ship them off for prostitution, you make them swallow hard drugs too, what if they die in the process? don't their lives mean anything to you? are they not human beings like you? you have daughters don't you?, will you treat them like this?" James shouted getting angry


"Now look here son, I won't have you shout at me or else I will blow your brains off this minute" he said puffing smoke in his face.

"Stop calling me son, you are nothing close to been my father" he shouted standing up.

"I said shut your dirty mouth up" he shouted giving James a slap.

"Terror, get me my gun" he shouted still not removing his gaze from James. " Today will be your last day on earth, no one will save you, the D.P.O you called will not save you either, he just betrayed you, you are on your own now, say your last prayer my boy" he smirked cocking his gun in readiness to shoot.

James closed his eyes, it would be the second time he was facing death within the space of 2 months, he bit his lip as a tear slipped down his face, he was going to die without saving his parents, without telling them goodbye, without telling Anny how much he loved her, without exposing the CLAVES, he bit his lip the more until he could taste blood in his mouth, he heard a gunshot and waited for the bullet to hit him, but he didn't feel any pain after some minutes.

"We have to go boss, we have been surrounded by the special response squad (SRS), let's go before we get caught" the man that was addressed as Terror shouted, dragging the boss away.

"The idiot has seen my face, he knows that am the boss now, I need to kill him" he shouted cocking his gun again.

"No boss, let's get to a safe place first, we will deal with him later" Terror said finally succeeding in dragging the boss away.


"Are you okay bro?" Gabriel asked rushing into the place with the officers.

"Gabriel, you... you.. saved my life once again, I was just close to dying" he said hugging Gabriel tightly.

"It's okay bro, when I didn't notice the D.P.O and his men coming, I called for backup immediately, my friend Jeremy works there so it wasn't hard to get them here" Gabriel said inspecting his body for any sign of injury.

"We need to save my parents" James said limping out of the place.

"Your parents are safe, we have gotten them to safety" Gabriel said going after him.

"Gabriel, they have a boss that is more dangerous than the founders, the bos..s, the bo..ss is..is" James tried to speak but collapsed in shock without telling them who the boss was.
