Surprising too. I have a few TBills yet to reach maturity, but I did a new N200k, and got N3,739 as SKPF.
First time am being debited such preposterous sum on a N5k+ interest.
I'm still waiting for their 'response'. I need an explanation. It's ridiculous.

So, I decided to try out the primary market with FBN for once.

They’ve debited me this morning just when I thought the bidding/debiting will be on Wednesday. However, they’ve not credited my account with the interest rate.

I hope the rate comes out fine, and better than the secondary market ooo.

The Tbills officer said the last primary bidding was 13.1% for 365 days, so I thought it’d be a better deal this week.

Right now, fingers are crossed.

Anyone experiencing same situation?

Stanbic’s rates are juicer than GTB.

As a young man (working class), it’s one of the most assured investments in a country where you’re not of what would happen the next minute.

Businesses hardly thrive, social services and nets are non-existing, virtually everyone wants to feed off your business and money once they see you’re starting out.

I lost over 500k to proxy farming barely a year back.

I’ve concluded that it’s safe to have your money in Tbills, collect the interest and wait till it’s maturity than start a business that you can’t be there to manage and get people to squander your sweat and blood work-out money.

A generation of people in haste with everything... Go back and read at least 20 first pages to gain insight una no go gree.. That the deduction was done today does not mean you will get the interest today. First Bank most times debit your account to place the money on hold immediately you indicate interest by applying. However, TB primary market auction is usually on Wednesday of the week, then settlement is on Thursday that's from when you should start expecting your interest.

Your response would have been appreciated if and only you chose to be more civil and let go of your sweeping generalization.

Newbies on this forum ..pls stick to fed govt tbills rates..Do not risk your hard earned money cos of difference of 2 to 5 percent ..If u do not know much about the companies don't risk it ..Most won't even tell you some of tbe businesses they re into .. This is naija but u can always minimize ur risk ..Thanks

If you check the bolded comment in the quote above you will know it's people like you that keep repeating already answered questions that have deprived others from getting what they should when they should. If not, auction dates changes and people can easily answer that but your particular question about FBN has been repeatedly answered and it remained that way so reading from behind would have resolved it.. Instead of noting what I said and move on, :Pyou want to show me you are foul mouthed by telling you would have appreciated my comments. Did you see me write anywhere that you should appreciate it?
