So why is Nigeria still borrowing money even after mortgaging Nigeria into chronic indebtedness? Why is the economy in tatters? What is Nigeria's GDP today? This is the second major propaganda by this government today but it waterloo is imminent.

1.Our economy is reliant on oil

2.We need oil to be at $140 per barrel to run a balanced economy

3.Oil has been at $30-81 in the last 3 years.

4.Hence , we have to borrow money to make the difference. And we have to pay off previous debts too.

5.The way forward is simple...we have to get off oil.

Exactly! Which is why there is an aggressive drive in the agric sector by the FG.

When there was no oil boom we thrived off agriculture . we have to go back to it

Short term....agriculture and solid minerals is a good idea.

The problem I have with them is that both sectors are subject to price rises and drops like oil.You also need to rely on more than one agricultural product....and then with agric, you need plenty of large scale modernized farming...not subsitience farming which needs large number of people to work (and even here in Nigeria...we still have to import food )

Long term.....we have to go industrial. Make things that people need. It works for many countries...and it would work for us, especially as we have the natural resources.

Revenue cannot increase until infrastructure is complete. Its the same infrastructure that will generate the revenue. (ECONOMICS 101)

This is why the government is aggressively pushing infrastructural development and were very angry when NASS cut infrastructural budgets to the extent they had to quickly block the cuts with a special fund so that those critical infrastructure do not suffer.

When they are finished, then the story changes.

which infrastructure are they investing in pls, i just wanna know

I think the industrial angle points at ajaokuta steel mills amongst others .

But you know that this would be herculian though not insurmountable especially since OBJ and Atiku liquidated a lot if our assets and sold them off dubiously in their time.

The infrastructural drive this FG is on right now I believe would eventually tackle that vacuum

Its obvious you just fell down from mars if you are yet unaware that rails, modular refineries, power plants, ajaokuta, etc are all being worked on as we speak with 4 modular refineries ready even now while the remaining 12 are being targeted for December.

Which of the above listed project is functional and tell us where the FG built modular refineries are located please.

He borrowed so that he can handle the critical infrastructure your PDP abandoned over a period of 16years.

He borrowed for investments. He did not borrow for liabilities which was what your GEJ did when he borrowed.

13 trillion invested into infrastructure pays itself over time.

Its like you borrowing 5 million naira to invest in a business and then paying back the loan from the profits you make from that same business.

Will you say you have mortgaged your life over such an investment?
He borrowed but most project that passed 50% completion in GEJ tenure aren't complete yet.

Wrong. Those projects were at 13%, completion as revealed by Osita Chidoka during his debate with Tolu Ogunlesi on twitter where he embarrased himself and his party by exposing their ineptitude to the whole world. Are you not aware of this?

Modular refineries are in Asaba.

Some of the rail lines are already functional (Google is your friend)

The power plants are already functional which is why we have a power increase now of 8000mw to give out unlike the 3000 to 4000 the FG met.

Buhari met the GDP at 2.35% in May 2015 & it's 1.5% now. We all know Buhari has had to deal with oil price of as low as $29/barrel within his first 6 months of resumption.
But you support an ineffectual buffoon from Otuoke that, despite the oil boom in his tenure, plunged our GDP growth from 7.68% in 2010 to 2.35%! Try get small shame!

Rails, modular refineries, power plants, low cost housing in almost all states

Some of the rails are already operational, 4 modular refineries already finished and another 12 expected by December. Some power plants are ready which is why we now have power production upgraded to 8000mw from the 3000+ mW PMB met.

Yes he does.

I said Rails (these rails are to link every part of Nigeria)

16 modular refineries (very expensive)

Power plants ( I don't need to spell out the cost of this to you including the abandoned shiroro power plant)

Federal low cost housing IN ALMOST ALL STATES ( This is a massive project)

We cannot afford to stop the infrastructural drive now. Every nation is driven by infrastructure to ease movement of people and goods.

This way, someone can live in Ibadan yet work in Lagos thereby decongesting the cities and taking development to the rural areas
