Ighalo is not the striker who will take us to the promised land. He is a fully grown striker who is still learning how to play the position at this late time in his career. Not a recipe for sustained success at the highest level. When we start playing real teams like we did in Russia, then you will find out you have been sold a bill of goods again. Funny enough, it's these educated elders that you hear this from the most. One would think that they would be wiser, but see now. Infact I owe this Buhari failure to this elderlies. I wish they could've insulted in some open air discussion randomly taken anywhere, but cos of respect. The energy they flexed in convincing lots of the youths to vote Bubu, if they had used such energy the right way, they for dey see AC and Nepa Bill of 500naira/month if they had encouraged the youths. Now they are the ones suffering it and they are still with their old minds still not ready to support a youth!! They are so stuck in the past and it's passed down to the youths. How many youths out there have first hand info of how naija politics nosedive in the 60s till now? You think it's those yeye textbooks that filled up that void? It was info passed down and youth tend to hold that cos of the "I was right there" prefix these oldies use often. You no fit argue once they use that prefix. lol


I'm beginning to feel that the younger generation have this sense of breaking all these crappy tribal differences and liberate and emancipate the destiny of the country, but"The right man is important but envelope is importanter" at the moment to many. A big pity.

. One question for you: The penalty Ighalo scored,who got fouled? This is in reference to your point about him not winning fouls for the team. Besides,no one is asking you to be carried away. Just don't discredit his efforts. He might have made some poor decisions(which is normal) but he made 3 good decisions that led to three important goals. Last time I checked,good always trumps bad. I'm not saying Ighalo is above mistakes. What I don't like is when people like you overlook his good efforts and focus SOLELY on his bad. That's unacceptable to me. Next time,learn to give honour to whom honour is due. The guy scored THREE GOALS at home. Deal with it.

Who won the penalty and wasn't he pressing? The missed chance was poor but Kalu and Musa missed more. Collins refused to pass and ighalo stayed for the cutback or a rebound. I can't fault him because you know when a guy won't pass you the ball.


How can you say he committed more fouls? were you not watching the match? None of those fouls were real, is it because we barely got to see replays. The referee was making invincible calls

What I saw was every single player wanting Ighalo to score and that is rare in Nigerian football . He made the difference and must be given credit.
