Dave Umahi is a great Governor. I would have preferred Soludo if he were in PDP. Yet, i know Peter Obi is eminiently qualified for the position.

In Nigeria, there are a lot of forces out to get ndigbo to fight and wash their dirty linen in public just to discredit Ndigbo. I remember when Chuba Okidigbo was Senate President, some Nigerians ran to Evan Ewerem to instigate him against Okadigbo. I knew exactly that once that happened, he too would not last because it will be another group instigating Igbos to topple him too.

The same thing happened when Nnamdi Kanu spoke about boycott of Anambra elections against a performing popular governor. I was against the boycott, but i was even more afraid of the division it could create unless our people learned to talk in closed door meetings than pages of newspapers.

Other Nigerians especially from the SW always ensnare the Igbo with one divisive topic or another. They have learnt from our history that they cannot defeat us when we are united. But they will easily tear us to shreds once they get us to sing discordant tunes. That is the danger in what Umahi is doing.
