safarigirl: Your assertion is part of the problem. Psychology of Nigerians is to accept mediocrity and then to enthrone CORRUPTION. The change really has to come from ourselves. Unfortunately we worship money and despise integrity. There are people of integrity but we will not accept them. For me to contest house of Representative I have to pay homage with Ghana must go bags stuffed with cash to a catalogue of traditional rulers. I then have to swear satanic oaths of allegiance to a number of self imposed political god fathers. The people on the ground want money NOW not the efficacy of policy and strategy. Then I have to play the whole ethnic card before my village clans will give me support. Irrespective of which part of Nigeria you have lived all your life and even your Father and Grand father before you. You are not going to accepted to contest election. The desirable is available but the people have chosen the UNDESIRABLE . What is SHOCKINGLY ABSURD is that it's easier for me a first generation British citizen by birth. To contest for the position of Prime minister in the UK than it is for me to contest house of assembly in my state. I have a better probability of winning elective office in the UK than in a Nigeria. Even with all.tje discrimination and racism. That's BEWILDERING to me. So it tells you the people need to change first, when the people change our leaders will be changed. We don't need change from our politicians we need the people to CHANGE. The people's of a nation are a reflection of its Rulers. 2 Likes |

krattoss: The international standard is. AUTOMATIC CAPTURE OF BIRTH DATA. That means multiple corroboration is standard practice. Not the presentation of " Sworn declaration " of birth. The statement is in the context of the proposition made that all the players in Everton apart from Richarlison are old. |

tbaba1234: I think that's a waste of time and it birthed out of the thinking boy youth football. When Rooney was 17 and tearing up the EPL there was no requirement to see if he was good enough for England. When you play week in and week out in a top league, club and or are outstanding player in your league. You are proven and tested. The basis for selection to the SE should be outstanding consistent top performances in your club and league. Obviously the quality of league and club will have an influence. Ademola barely 4/5 years ago was playing Sunday football. But he is now tested and proven beyond all doubts. Why because they are no longer youth players but experienced professionals. 1 Like |

cc12: One question ❓ all these local Nigerian players where do you think they want to go at the slightest opportunity. They are prepared to go to Vietnam and Azerbaijan than play in Nigeria. So your approach is out of sync with the reality. |

MetalJigsaw:Going by your logic - Rashford would get into Liverpool, Man City heck even Arsenal's first 11 because he wears the number 10 jersey at Man United. Mariano is a world class player that can get into all teams in the world bar Barca because he wears the number 7 Jersey of Real Madrid. Great logic... 1 Like |
