Dribbling at times can be flattery, I know some of us here regard dribbling more than scoring goals.

What determines quality is not flattery but end product.

What are you and @metaljigsaw talking about?? Has anyone on here denied Kalu's talent?? The argument was can he make Everton's first 11?? How him jersey number take enter argument?? Most people wanted Kalu to be at the last WC as an alternative to Moses Simon...no one is doubting his talent.
I was quoting komekn who said that the number 10 jersey isn't a mark of respect and quality to a player wearing it

are u saying number 10 jersey isn't adorned in different teams?
People that wears the number 10 jerseys re prospects looked up for greatness.. Sometimes they flop.
most times it's the best player in the team that is privileged to adorn the 10 jersey..

What are u even insinuating?
Number 10 jersey is a guard of honour just like the captain armband so anyone wearing it must be quality prospect.

Somalia no 10 player is a great prospect. wink grin

Because of this, Everton is better?
edi287:

Wait...so if Everton and Bordeaux are dragging for a prospect - you honestly think the prospect will mull things over?? AT 2018?? Look at the players Everton got and tell me the last time Bordeaux got that caliber of players
This is turning into a farce oo. Why use Barca and Man City?? It's more like Man City and Sevilla...that's what Everton is to Bordeaux...

Omeruo drops out of the team.. Ajayi takes his place on the bench.. Semi Ajayi must be making a strong impression.

Onyekuru that has more career goals than Kalu??
Onyekuru scored over 15 goals in his first season in the Belgian league... how many did Kalu score?
Kalu might be better than Onyekuru when it comes to dribbling but Onyekuru always cap his performance with goals and assists that's a sign of football maturity... Kalu needs to work on his final ball product...

Maturity is not about career goals. Putting 2 young players in comparison, one may play against poorer opponents and therefore rack up more career goals earlier on. Maturity has to do with how either of the young players can handle the big stage when they're put there. That explains the poor decisions by Kalu on the previous match day. Watching Onyekuru closely during his cameo,he also made poor calls more than once until that assist. Currently I'd say Kalu is better placed though they're both not there yet.

Not a bad line up, but I would've liked to see Ogu in place of Etebo tho. We gonna need two solid DMs in that midfield since this is technically an away game and against a desperate opponent.

Everton is ranked highly than Bordeaux.
77 while Bordeaux 113. That is not the same level.
I wasn't coming from that angle.

A new pecking order is gradually emerging.. Simon Moses is now below Kalu, Onyekuru and Musa. He needs more game time at club level.

Awaziem now below Ajayi and Omeruo. Needs to also start playing.

Listen, put Everton against Bordeaux today and Bordeaux would trash them, home and away! Ranked higher my behind.
