BascoVanVeli:ighalo was rightly criticized for his performances previously cos they were poor even at times abysmal and it was justified. But over the last two games he tried and performed well and he's been praised, but that's not to say he didn't deserve those criticism, he deserved them just as he deserves the present praise. 4 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: How many clear chances did he score from in the last 2 games? maybe 1 or 2. Most of the goals were scored from either half chances or from the ones he created himself. That is what is expected of a quality CF. And not to be hiding behind or beside defenders and expecting a pass before u can do any thing or be running into wrong positions and offside. Besides, there were so many clear chances he got in previous games, it was either he played straight to the goalie, wide, or ran into offside positions. He was highly clinical in the last 2 games and that was the difference. And yes he was a Flash in the pan at Watford. That remains the untwisted fact. And yes also, I opined he was one of the Worst players from my hood that ever played for the SE because he failed to Impress like his predecessors. 3 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: Oga, we can't compare Giroud with Ighalo. They are worlds apart. Giroud was largely used as a substitute playing 30 mins or less in most of his first few years with France. Ighalo for the most part has been a regular. Their actual minutes on the pitch is not the same . 5 Likes |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 9:11pm On Oct 17, 2018 |
Yes, we did discuss it some while back. That skill is so simple yet so effective when timed right. The Iggy Scoop aka the Ighalo feint is what made him a nightmare to CBs in the EPL before his barren run began all before he left for China. I am just happy he finally executed it in the GWG. Now Ndidi owes us a screamer.... He has been scoring screamers from Genk to Leicester but he never do am for GWG colors. He owes us!!!! Him must produce!!! Haba... I don dey eye am since. Anyway, I hope Ighalo keeps this up. Deliver like this or close to it from time to time (even if there will inevitably be a bad game at some point for which I can excuse- but hopefully not a very important game ooo abeg) and I won't have much or anything to complain about. Infact, I will become your defence attorney. BascoVanVeli: 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: Ighalo had almost 500 more minutes than Giroud after 25 games.. He had significantly more time on the pitch. Giroud did not have the responsibility of main striker in his early years. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 9:16pm On Oct 17, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli: You should know when I am whining you naa.... Lol... If Ighalo can win the APOTY on the back of topping the AfconQ scorers chart and going right ahead to top score at Cameroun 2019 and lead us to the Afcon title... Then yes, he stands a great chance of winning it. Just that those two African attacking "devils" at Red Merseyside are also factors shaa ooo... 2 Likes

forgiveness: It is hate. In your cases, you pull Nacho down to the mud even when he does produce the goods. He scores, and you guys will talk about his first touch and call him average. If it is not that, he assists and you talk about his failure to hit that shot well... Bla bla bla... You even bring Nacho into your arguments when talking about other players when Nacho was never even supposed to be part of that discussion. You guys do it a lot... So yours is wayyy different. In Iggy's case... Before his current explosive form, he was barren. Simple and short. And the criticism was justified but what I cannot stand for is calling him trash, or insulting the man. Or going as far as threatening him as they did on Instagram. In the Super Eagles team today, Nacho still boasts a better goals involvement over a lesser number of games. Yet you guys always had negative things to say about him. Someone even called Nacho a dog. Mehn that is pure undiluted hate. No questions asked. It is very very bad. 10 Likes 1 Share

tbaba1234: Ighalo doesn't play for the star studded French team ,he plays for a average team If giroud plays for the eagles ,the hypocrite fans would have also threaten his family . Am not comparing ighalo to giroud ,But as far as I am concerned and the football world, giroud is an average player, take it or leave it . 2 Likes |
