tbaba1234: I still feel the NFF is not being proactive in trying to find ways to improve. The only basis for selection is outstanding consistent top class performances in your league and club. It's apparent we need competition within the team for improvement. Considering the performances of Onazi in recent times for club and country should Onazi be in the team. 1 Like 1 Share |

Lol... Time will tell soon enough shaa. It is the first game on Saturday on return to EPL action. On Victor Moses, well, I don't see him competing with Hazard. I see that more as playing backup to Hazard. The guys he is really up against are Pedro and William coz he got no chance displacing Hazard now. Good thing he is getting a couple of mins at Chelsea here and there but I still feel a player of Moses' talents deserve more. 'Shame how he has been relegated to bit part roles. On your dream to see him return to the SE. Well, Rohr still spoke on that recently and is still keeping the doors open for the man, Victor. Very courteous of Rohr but I don't know if Victor will take that return ticket. And even if he does return, not all Nigerians will have nice things to say. Expect Savage comments like, "Ohhh now he realizes it should have been the other way round right? Retire from the Chelsea bench to focus on your international career..." These and many more will pop up and it won't be an easy walk into the side as Musa is a sure starter now and Iwobi is also in wicked form. Moses Simon is there and has always been a Rohr Favorite and key player and the rising Samuel Kalu and Henry Onyekuru are also waiting in the picture of things. Well, like I always say, time will tell. Let's see if Victor rescinds his decision because as it currently stands, the Super Eagles are still soaring even without him. daveP: 1 Like 2 Shares |

Joebie: Bruv hmmm In football six months is a long time, A year is history and two years is archived. Before his injury he was on the way up would probably be in an EPL team by now. Good on the ball technical and unpredictable with good pace. Maybe he could have added more goals but a a very good player. But two years out of the game from injury. That is a mountain to climb. |

komekn:everyone here know about your hate and fact twisting skills so stop trying to run away from it. Wait till the end of the season before you can feed on your hatred for nacho but however, make sure you acknowledge his talent when he prove you wrong.. oh I don’t think you can do that. You rather eat poison than to say any good thing about nacho. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.., can a good heart bringeth forth hatred? Nahhh. So mr fact twister, stick to your narrative about nacho, I’m not expecting you to change Cos truth is far from your heart. 1 Like |

safarigirl: In football everything is about seizing the moment much much more so as a youth player. You have little time to impress, you better use it well be courageous be unpredictable be outstanding. In those few minutes he was none of those things playing for Villarreal against Rangers. Now compare him to the 18 year old Middleton who came on for Rangers. My opinion and comments were strictly in the context of that match which your comments are not. From your comments it seems you did not watch the full match, Well I did. Can I ask did you watch the match ❓ ❓ You are leaping before looking and taking matters out of context. Might I suggest preconceived aversion to my view even before examination. Finally, don't put words on me that I haven't specifically spoken that's MISREPRESENTATION as you already know Barrister to be. 2 Likes |

What I don't like is when someone will see Iwobi right in front of him and try to make some silly pass instead. All of a sudden Musa, Ndidi and Etebo want to prove that they can make telling passes. Look, just play it simple and let the boy do the job he is put on the pitch for. 4 Likes |

BascoVanVeli:And I think that's the likely occurrence. If Libya gets to defeat them at home, I see them crashing out because we'll most likely beat them in their homeland, and I have no doubt about Libya flogging the Seychelles in their final game. |

BascoVanVeli: Thanks for the correction. I admit I don't really follow happenings in the Turkish league. But Onazi for me has not been IMPRESSIVE in recent games. I am looking at from the perspective of what he use to do and what he does now. For me there is drop in quality and application. How many games has he played and or MOTM has he won this season or goals scored for his club. 1 Like |

komekn: Yea, I don't post much, mainly because i don't like to be drawn in long debates. But I've been on here for a long time. I don't have to take any side to point out an observation (that your comment which i quoted was...somehow). You have not seen enough of my posts to decide which side I'm on. Why does there even have to be sides? Anyway, like I said, my comment goes both ways. I hope you don't tag me based on this sha. That would be emotive, don't you think? Nothing personal man. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 11:54am On Oct 18, 2018 |
safarigirl: Nope. You could see Iwobi pressing the goalkeeper sometimes, he is supposed to be setting the pace and in that case he is signalling that the press should be aggressive, in that case one of Ndidi or Etebo has no choice but to push forward and cover the position vacated by Iwobi. I mean if you sit deep it still wouldn't change anything especially since the Libyans were willing to shoot from far out |

BascoVanVeli: the wingers will not hug the line if they are not instructed to. Watch Musa and see that our formation is not 'touch-line' oriented, so they can't just enter the match and start hugging the touchline after spending the entire training session cutting into the box, that would then be on the coach for poor game planning. No AMF stands in a spot, yes, but no AMF will virtually become a winger all game long even when the team is defending, Iwobi is too used to that wide role that instructing him to play as an AMF may not work in the national team, it has to start from his club. So you are ok with Onazi's poor disciplinary record? If he gets a yellow early in the game do you know what Percy Tau will do with him? |

tbaba1234:We are taking this Ighalo issue too far. I think we should now judged him based on his last performance in GWG.If he messed up again we hammer him and that’s football but for now he is the beast. Ighalo regular for eagles?yes you are right. |

Oasis007: The bolded is the koko. Ighalo NEVER lost form for us. NEVER!. He simply wasn't fed the right passes. Our fullbacks at the WC were piss poor. Idowu was particularly USELESS!. Not a single meaningful cross from him throughout the tournament!. No overlapping, nothing. The midfield was just non existent. How many defence splitting passes did Ighalo get?. He is a striker for heaven's sake, you don't expect him to create chances for himself!. Put Ighalo in a team with a proper midfield and watch him score until you beg him to stop. 1 Like |

Considering his performance for both club and country: Iwobi on the wings or Iwobi as the 10. Which will be of more benefit to the national team? @edi247. |

New competition will always make the regulars watch their back. We must promote excellence in all the playing depts. the invitation of Success was a good one. If Success cannot give Ighalo a good competition, he should be dropped else he would start getting comfortable that his SE shirt at least is secure Danielnino00: 1 Like |
