The bolded is the koko. Ighalo NEVER lost form for us. NEVER!. He simply wasn't fed the right passes.

Our fullbacks at the WC were piss poor. Idowu was particularly USELESS!. Not a single meaningful cross from him throughout the tournament!. No overlapping, nothing. The midfield was just non existent. How many defence splitting passes did Ighalo get?.

He is a striker for heaven's sake, you don't expect him to create chances for himself!.

Put Ighalo in a team with a proper midfield and watch him score until you beg him to stop.

Ok let us not take this too far, he has had chances which he bottled.

Nigerians are just too wicked. Imagine! Selling a fake rat poison in this challenging times. Don't be victim, taste before you buy, the original one is salty.

Seychelles and Libya tasted it to know if Ighalo is truly potent. All this while we have been presenting China made whereas the real one is from Ajegunle. angry

$9.5m FIFA grant: Three NFF officials in court over alleged misappropriation

Three officials of Nigeria Football Federation were on Thursday arraigned in a Federal Capital Territory High Court at Maitama, accused of misappropriating $9.5 million and N1.3 million.

The defendants are Christopher Andekin, NFF Director of Administration and Finance, Reagan Zaka, Cashier and Fadanari Mamza, Head, Finance and Account Department.

They were dragged to the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on five counts bordering on criminal conspiracy, breach of trust and misappropriation.

The prosecutor, Mr Steve Odiase, told the court that the three defendants conspired between January 8 and January 26, 2015, to commit the offences, contrary to Section 97 of Penal Code.

Odiase alleged that Andekin was entrusted with money meant for the development of football in Nigeria, a grant from the Federation of International Football Association.

He said that Andekin, however, fraudulently diverted N1.3 million from the NFF domiciliary account with Zenith Bank, an act that is contrary to section 311 of the Penal Code.

He further alleged that Zaka on his part, fraudulently diverted $7.2 million grant from FIFA for development of football in Nigeria while Mamza diverted $2.3 million.

The defendants all pleaded not guilty to the charges, and their counsel, Mr Arinze Egbo applied for their bail.
The Judge, Justice Peter Affen upheld the administrative bail granted to them earlier by the EFCC.

In addition, he ordered that the sureties should sign a bond with the registrar of the court, and the defendants should deposit their international passports.
The case has been adjourned until November 27, for the commencement of trial.

Considering his performance for both club and country: Iwobi on the wings or Iwobi as the 10. Which will be of more benefit to the national team? @edi247.
it's such a bonus we got an utility player like iwobi who can operate more than one position in a game.
Be that as it may, depending on the quality at hand prior to any match, t will determine his position in a game.
If MIKEL obi is fit for match, I don't see iwobi starting ahead of him, and the manager isn't one who is ready to draft MIKEL in the cmf position anytime soon.
But in his absence, a fit iwobi is definitely starting in the AMF position.
The wings been congested with many wingers at the moment. It will be unrealistic if we see iwobi as a winger in the already congested and overpopulated wings.. think the Manager but at club and country has started seeing his potentials in the middle of the park.
He has played more in the middle for club and country this season than before.. Hence we should see him as a potential AMF. He will be a good replacement and deputy to our ageing legend John MIKEL obi.

That been said.. In my opinion, I will like him to operate more from the AMF role... Thanks.

ighalo was rightly criticized for his performances previously cos they were poor even at times abysmal and it was justified. But over the last two games he tried and performed well and he's been praised, but that's not to say he didn't deserve those criticism, he deserved them just as he deserves the present praise.

Wow this could be a major career highlight for Ighalo and who knows top scorer in AFCONQ and China and we may be talking about a podium spot for the POTY.
Is he still the highest goal scorer in China? I hope he wins it.

Mickael2:

the wingers will not hug the line if they are not instructed to. Watch Musa and see that our formation is not 'touch-line' oriented, so they can't just enter the match and start hugging the touchline after spending the entire training session cutting into the box, that would then be on the coach for poor game planning. No AMF stands in a spot, yes, but no AMF will virtually become a winger all game long even when the team is defending, Iwobi is too used to that wide role that instructing him to play as an AMF may not work in the national team, it has to start from his club.

So you are ok with Onazi's poor disciplinary record? If he gets a yellow early in the game do you know what Percy Tau will do with him?

Where is Iwobi in this picture? As an AMF u follow where the ball goes for the most part. This is why the team should make a conscious effort to find him when he is in position.

Onazi's record is not that bad. Outside of a red against Chad he has been ok. If he gets a yellow isn't he a professional? Percy Tau iis not even Khama Billiat so I don't know why you are bringing up his name.

Enough of these sentiments, Iwobi current position has brought back Eagle's scoring form, creating more possession, looking at the previous match they played good passes, they only need more training and a moderate pattern of play.

Rohr will do us a great disservice if he plays Mikel as a 10 again and wastes Iwobi on the wings.

The Ighalo vs Iheanacho tussle was started by the regular posters here. It is now very very surprising that they are all deflecting blame from each other and writing long epistles upandan. Chai, people.
Now you all can see that the right AM is the problem and not really Ighalo.

I think we need a Chelsea version of Mikel to help us control the game at the midfield and hold on to the ball. Iwobi is great as an AM but there is still a missing link in our midfield without Mikel. Etebo is not the kind of midfielder to sit back. Somehow the latter brings his A game in the big games.

Modified
We still need that midfielder to complete the puzzle as we prepare for life without Mikel

2nd Modified
A very good holding midfielder is what we are lacking. The one who does the simple necessary things — not Etebo

Thank you oh. I agree ighalo has really played well over the last three games, but to say he wasn't ever poor for us or laying the blames for his previous abysmal showings solely on lack of service is over the top and a fat lie. In the previous matches, Ighalo has had several chances that he missed either due to poor finishing, poor positioning, poor techniques that he should have done better.
