Goodmorning mamas I have a question to ask. My 6months old son was running temperature thru out last weekend(btw 36.9 to 37.3degree Celsius), I took him to d Doc on Monday, complained of just high temperature and cough, after examining him she gave us anti malaria(to be taken twice daily for 3days) and amoxicilin oral suspension(to be taken 3* for 5days) and nothing for d cough. Now today is d fifth day and he's still running temperature and coughing,I clean his body with wet towel almost every night. what else do I do? what else could be causing d high temperature |

prettymaxy:check his gum for sign of new teeth. it could be teething. My baby had a similar experience at 7 month. She was running serious temperature and coughing. The doc said there was nothing wrong probably just fever, and so gave me antimalarial. Two days after, her 3rd and 4th teeth came out. Same day she got better. No more temperature and coughing. But you might want to visit another paed cos 5 days is getting long |

prettymaxy:They would normally run temperature for a day or two even after they complete the dosage. He'd be fine but you can go back to the hospital on Monday if he's not. |
