Hmmm. I guess I'll stop commenting on nairaland because their so many irrational people here. You think all women are the same. Well, I don't believe in premarital sex neither do I have anything against washing clothes for a boyfriend. Like I said, do whatever makes you happy. I will definitely wash my boyfriend's clothe if he is indisposed or it is very necessary but I WILL NEVER BECOME A LAUNDRY WOMAN FOR A BOYFRIEND AND I WON'T ADVISE ANYONE TO.

I kinda like you smiley

Wow. And still use same kettle to boil water to drink tea.

Don't mind me. The idea of boiling egg with kettle or boiling egg together with indomie or like one of my daughters did recently, boiling egg in beans totally creeps me out!

Such a 19th century topic. I can't believe people are actually discussing this shocked
I don't iron anything, all of my clothes are the kind that doesn't need ironing. As for my boyfriend, he is responsible for his own clothing, none of which also requires any ironing. Machine washes the clothes and it takes 5 minutes to hang them.
Problem solved.

I've only been privileged to date a lady who was very domesticated. Her visit was what I always prayed for because it used to relief me of many stress but I never took advantage of her. I respected her so much for that

Feminism is already taking over Nigeria. It's a shame that some ladies can't even wash their father's clothes even if they see him washing it. They see it as slavery to go a a man's place, pick up dirty plates, curtains or bed sheet and wash them.

This lady you pictured is obviously not ready for marriage. She never ready at all

Let us hear word Jor.
Feminism ,this that must she be domesticated what happened to the guy. Before my parents started using washing machine I can testify that my father even today never for once allowed anybody wash his clothes even my brothers wash their own clothes according to them they do not feel comfortable with people doing things for them a man being domesticated and a woman refusing to wash a man's cloth has nothing to do with feminism.I have never washed my fathers cloths since I was born and I am not ashamed to say it.
I am not refering to the topic but people should know how to take care of theirselves which includes domesticity. You should not wait for anyone to do that for you.

As for me, I blame ladies that allow guys to take all their responsiblities, i cant allow that since we are not married yet and so I CAN NOT WASH A GUY CLOTH BECAUSE I AM A HIS GIRLFRIEND AND I WILL NOT LET YOU Take full responsiblities on me till you married me.
Ladies try to stand on your own and don't take all this bullshit like washing of clothes, cooking, trying to brain wash you that you are a wife materials, always learn to be independent always. Stay on your own and maintain your stand.
Of course i can cook or wash for a guy but it will be at my own will not by using a command tone because i don't owe you anything .

Lacks ability ke. I beg to differ. There is no correlation between being ambitious and possessing the ability to carry out chores.

An ambitious lady can carry out house chores. Anyone can do house chores. However some ladies will prefer to spend their time on academics and career than housechores.

The gf does not even have a point. If she doesn't like laundry, she should say it. Laundry is not such a big deal and for someone who is comfortable collecting penny for everything from a guy, she should be ready to do laundry.

As for my guy, he is feeling entitled. Don't blame him. If he does not like dry cleaning services, he should get a washing machine.

vingeophysicist:
lol, she is not domesticated, probably she is the career type. Everything depends on what your friend value more in a woman. A career-oriented lady lack ability in carrying out simple house chores, they spend more time pursuing their dreams.

I think it's not bad a girlfriend should wash her guys cloth but it shouldn't be a responsibility of the girl alone. As the story above said. He dislikes dry cleaning by washmen.. That's illarious. The guy talks like an alfa male. He should wash his clothes or live the girl and go for a village girl who will do all his laundry. Someone that goes to work 7 days in a week should have money for washing machine. Na poverty mentality. If he was a millionaire, will he prefer hand wash to washing machine?

No need of too much stories,
I have a friend who works with a multinational firm, he has a matured girlfriend in her second level in the University, she resigned her job two years ago to get a degree.
They have been dating for over a year now and he intends settling down next year with her, presently, the guy pays her fees and gives her monthly upkeep cash, money to make her hair etc. but the problem is that the young man complains that she rarely washes his clothes, even boxers. Sometimes the guy spends 7 days in a week at work with no time to wash his clothes. And he doesn't like giving his clothes to drycleaners as they usually ruin the colours. He prefers hand-washing them, which he does any night he returns, sometimes, into the night, 1:00AM when you call my guy, he is still washing his clothes, bedsheets etc.

When asked the girl says "I am not washing your clothes, if i start washing your clothes now, what will I do when we get married, you'd better give them to the drycleaner.

My guy is totally confused, knowing that a character exhibited during a relationship will definitely come into play in marriage. Please what should he do.
He is dating an IDIOT sorry

So he works even on weekends?

What kind of work will keep him away for 7 days without even that little time to wash his own clothes? Lies Abeg.

But just so you know, your partner can only decide to help at her own discretion. After all it's not an obligation.

But it's an obligation to pay her fees? Na in papa? No one is saying paying fees equates to washing but if the guy is doing all this selflessly, he has a decision to make. Assuming he wasn't even paying fees, can't she just help him? Na bad market for him.

You can’t bend someone to your will by using emotional blackmail. He needs a practical approach to a very simple issue. Since you asked
I am paid very well, and I have a full on busy life that’s why I have a washing machine. He can opt to make his own life easier himself. It’s not rocket science or is it?
Ok ma

Buy washing machine. Case closed.

Some guys sef sad

But she's meant to cook and clean the house, nothing wrong in those chores. But washing of clothes? Yuck! angry I can't deal Abeg

Let's be realistic, let's take dis instance, we ve guys dt keep piling up clothes, maybe cos of time or laziness, if a gal is properly trained, if she sees piled up clothes in a house she spends most of her time in appart from when she is in school, she oaught to try to wash dem, atleast to keep d house clean, don't u know dirty clothes smell? Right here u say it's her responsibility to cook ND clean the house, if she cleans the house but it's still smelling cos of piled up clothes, what can she say she has done?
Different guys have different things dey love doing, me I love cooking, I don't let my lady cook, even if she says she wanna cook, I will enter d kitchen to help her, but I find chores stressful, I can cook for an entire community, but I wouldn't like to wash d plates, if a gal sees her guy clothes piled up for one reason or d other, ND she never took it upon herself to help reduce d piled up clothes, that gal is a waste, sorry to say

But not all eggs can be washed clean no matter how you try except you want to run the risk of cracing it. How then do you wash out the residue of the chicken's shiit knowing that kettles are more difficult to wash out than pot? Same scenario plays out if the egg bursts while being cooked.

You're the one that should go and sit down.. Stop trying to justify laziness and dirtiness probably because you're already used to that lifestyle. You forgot to add that you also need a machine that will bathe you and brush your teeth everyday.

A lady from a well trained home will never be comfortable seeing piled up clothes and dirty plates smelling in the house. No she won't! I know of some ladies that will start complaining each time they come inside a guy's room and will try to tidy up the whole place.

I used to have a female friend like that. This lady used to help me wash dirty plates and curtains each time she visited me in school. We weren't dating oooo

My dear, all ladies were trained differently.. Some ladies need not to be told before they help you with chores. They are already used to cleanliness

I repeat! Only lazy girls see it as slavery to do chores

You have got to be kidding me So it is justifiable for a guy to be lazy and dirty domestically because he is used to such lifestyle but not a woman.
Well as for me no well trained grown up would be comfortable living in dirt.People should learn to be responsible for every little thing that concerns them.
Anybody that cannot take care of themselves should not be an adult so you go and sit down women are not the only ones that are well trained.
Stop justifying nonsense I nor blame you I blame some ladies who try to prove that they are wife materials and in doing so is making grown men become babies.
It is only lazy men who are not responsible to themselves that would find problem doing chores.
