That could be hydrocele. I noticed it on my first son few weeks after birth. I reported it to his pead who directed us to a pead surgeon. He advised that we wait it out for 18months that it may correct on its own as some do. He advised that we come for check up from time to time. It didn't correct, so they performed a minor surgery and corrected it. We were discharged the same day and he started school the following morning. He's four now.

My 4months old was pooping once in 5days when exclusively breastfed as at 2months old. We introduced formula NAN1 precisely at 3months2weeks which we give mainly once or twice daily,still mostly breastfed. The pooping reduced to once in 2-3days, then from last week monday till now, baby starts pooping like 3-5times a day. I complained to a health professional about it as i thought it diarhoea though baby is still very active, the poop is runny,seedy and tan to yellowish colour. He said i should give zinc which i did, no difference.i added flagyl suspension and it reduced to 3times daily, then i stopped after 2days because my mum is like the baby is just pooping well nothing is wrong with him. So i am just confused as to what is the normal frequency in a day so that i will know when to be alarmed. diapers are expensive

Since poop looks good, I doubt there's anything wrong with the baby. Why give him flagyl so fast, doctors hardly even recommend flagyl for stooling babies, they just ask you to keep giving lots of water or zinc. Consider that you might be changing the diapers before he's done, which would make it appear like he's pooping a lot. Get ready to use more diapers. My baby is 17 months ish and poops after every meal, some days she decides to poop after every diaper change. You can buy these modernized clothe daipers to save money of diapers.

The treatment with zinc is supposed to reach 10 days,did you? A times the pooping will fully n its course ,which means that even after the treatment,the pooping may continue for a lil while.

Some babies are great poopers too whether ebfed or not.

You can try cooked white rice with stew, tea (it helped me) and some mamas said fenugreek seed works. You need to relax cos stress can affect supply.
