globemoney: That's the major problem holding Igbos. People like you that hope on FG for development when you can do it yourself. The 2nd Niger bridge has taken basically 19 years with the little physical work only done by the present APC administration which I could easily have used in playing stupid politics but this discussion is about the truth and the truth is that we can develop well even with the orchestrated neglect by Nigerian FG. |
Re: . by globemoney: 1:01pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
Abagworo:You are talking nonsense. We will never contribute one penny for that bridge in Nigeria. Maybe you or your father can help us build it if you care. 1 Like |

AN OPEN LETTER TO MAZI NNAMDI KANU (by Ifedimma Onwugbufor) Dear Mazi Kanu, With all due respect, I wish to express my disappointment at your abysmal broadcast yesterday. I am still at a loss why many Igbo still fight and die for a leader like you, so insensitive and a braggart. During the Python dance operation, many Igbo families were wrecked - sons were executed point blank, tortured terribly and maimed, then you resurface after some months after being spotted in Israel to mourn the death of "Jack my dog and many others". That was unfair, insensitive and prideful of you. Mazi, I expected you to shed tears at the mention of humans, people's children who followed you at the peril of their lives. I expected you to inform the Igbo that you are fine. I expected you to massively thank them for their loyalty, prayer and support, and not assure them of your return with "hell". What about your handlers giving the full names of the thirty killed and you will slowly mention them one after another, and speaking words of comfort to their families. Is it took much to do? Who is Jack? Who is his father? Does he even have a soul? You are not a leader. Ojukwu did not do this after he escaped to Ivory Coast. You are too insensitive to be one. I see no emotions in you for your people. When Ojukwu was here, he mostly addressed the Igbo with an emotionally laden tone, full of tenderness and compassion. People went home comforted. You only come to stir the beehive and shut out the world all of a sudden, leaving your Igbo kinsmen to get at each other's necks. You are not a leader, truth be told. You don't speak the minds of the Igbo. Maybe of ndi Abia state, but certainly not of Ndigbo. You are not my leader. You are no longer Nigerian, as you stated. Stay out and remain out. The hatred for the Igbo aggravates daily because of braggarts like you. We work and sacrifice in Nigeria like elephants and survive like ants. You have nothing to offer any Igbo. Your wife and kids are safely tucked in the UK but you always have a way of showing up to bastardize the little goodwill we manage to have here. Leave us alone. We are suffering greatly over here. Unfortunately most of your ardent supporters live in diaspora and have no single idea what it means to struggle to survive over here. We are suffering, Mazi. We are groaning under a huge yoke that cannot be lifted by the rudeness and profligacy that you exhibit in your pomposity. Enough. The Igbo are worried about your Dad and other members of your family. You couldn't mention that in your broadcast. You think we are not genuinely worried about the welfare of your family? Go to UK, that's where your citizenship is. Stop disrupting the peace of a country you have no business with. Create your dream country where you are and keep the "hell" there. I am sure Israel will be so generous to. You have mentored very rude, recalcitrant and cantankerous Igbo young men and women, strutting the social media and fighting and denigrating anyone that tries to reason with a head. What evil is this? You are on exile in Israel. Fine. Remain there and make the best of your time and opportunity. If your actions are found lethal, Israel may have no other option than to discontinue with hosting you. In Nigeria, you abused your bail conditions and trifled the integrity of all who were your guarantors. For your cause, Igbo suffer more in their host states. This is the much hardship your outlandish decisions have brought. If you truly love the Igbo, stay silent at the moment. If you cannot work with the who-is-who in Igboland, your patriotism is dung. If indeed, the APC government has not contracted you to destabilize the opposition as many insinuate now, Mazi kindly remain mum. Your integrity is going downward. You cannot clamour to deliver people who no longer see your goodwill as it is. IPOB members are mostly not registered voters, you didn't need to announce that they should not vote. Ife dike gha eme di ye n'obi. Learn to be frugal with words. I wish you a safe stay in Israel. Mulu anya ka azu, jide onu ghu aka. Deeme, odogwu IPOB. 1 Like

UdechiHD:and any igboman who wants an independent igbo nation should support him. If u feel u dont like his methods, reach out to him and tell him ur own views...u might be surprised that he would listen. Pazienza Kanu himself abandoned his career and joined massob. Wen he got tired, he formed his own. U should never feel that being an online critic to a man who has the support of millions of people is a smart strategy..his supporters wont hear ur online noise o...not wen they themselves are on ground 2 Likes |

Juliusmalema:Where is the greed? Igbos owe ekwremadu a big gratitude. It was his zoning recommendation that made igbo VP sacrosanct otherwise yorubas would have highjacked it. But since Obi is favored, he should calm down. I recommend he negotiate with buhari and move to APC in case buhari wins again then he will likely emerge Senate president since saraki is now in PDP. Let us not assume that Atiku has already won. We can't afford to put all our eggs in one basket again |

Bede2u:Yeah, you're right here! I think it's time many of us pick up the mantle from Kanu and put things right. For me, I've gone past criticizing Kanu. I told my friend after listening to Kanu speech yesterday that it's time we take the bold step and start leading in our own little way. Uwazurike did his, Kanu despite all his failing has openly handed the challenge and baton over to the next maverick. And it's time the clever ones learn from the mistakes of those two and forge a clearer path. If there was two things both Kanu and Uwazurike lacked, then that surely is charisma and diplomacy. 2 Likes |

Re: . by Nobody: 2:53pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
Bede2u:No need sharing this speech. We will vote in our numbers whether or not IPOB headquarters like it. For this is the only way to keep our aspirations alive. God forbid we fail to vote! Kanu know that no one but his die hard followers will pay heed to such suicide mission. Not voting will give Buhari the edge and that will still not count in our favour unless an underground negotiation has been agreed. The Igbo nation is voting massively in 2019. Kanu should take that to the bank. |

Re: . by Nobody: 3:12pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
basilo101:You reason well bro. I wonder why people are putting all our eggs on the Atiku/Obi ticket. Why is the north, middle belt and SW who will still be favoured by Atiku if he eventually emerges President not sacrificing all their votes for him, why only us? Ekweremadu, Umahi and Obiano should be left to play their cards. Who says Atiku won't emerge President without their support. This idea of gifting Obi a soft landing should be totally discouraged. Let him prove his political mettle at this point and win the south east. Even if we agree that Ekweremadu or Obiano are working for Buhari, no law says they shouldn't. Buhari emerging victorious with the aid of these folks may turn the table to our favour come 2023. If Obi and his party are smart enough, then they should start politicking underground to sway these men to their side and assure the SE of a better share in Atiku's government if he emerges. I'll start taking Obi serious only when he beats the tide and help lead his party to victory come 2019. It's still early trying to label him (Obi) the liberator of the Igbo nation. For now, let the show begin and whoever wins should be crowned King. 1 Like |

UdechiHD: Kanu is a f00l Us not voting in 2019 will help buhari's re-election and that will increase the length of our sufferings. Nothing will happen in 2019 when we dont vote. Kanu won't be in Nigeria to join us in the sufferings that will follow. His otuocha pretty wife and child enjoy first class standard of living all in the UK. He wants to come back with hell and stall economic activities in the SE and make our region unviable for investors. Kanu should be assassinated. Such a miscreant. He is not smart and lacks the qualities of a true leader. He is bringing us more deaths , pain and suffering rather than calculative liberation. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: . by Nobody: 3:22pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
UdechiHD: Umahi and Obiano should work for Buhari for all I care. At the moment he has higher chances of winning due to voter apathy in South East. The duo should seek soft landing for us with Buhari in exchange for support at the polls especially via AIIA, 2nd Niger Bridge and the rails. We should learn to play politics like the Yorubas who have learnt the calculate idea of dividing votes. 2 Likes |
Re: . by Nobody: 3:30pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
Funnicator:My brother you just nailed it on the head. Block voting in the SE is good but most times it may have bad consequences if the opposite emerges. We saw similar scenario in 2015 and how Buhari dealth with us. Buhari and Atiku are sons of the north and if the north wants Atiku as President, then let them gang up against Buhari and vote him in. The north will decide how the result will sway. We in the south are only assisting. |
Re: . by Nobody: 3:44pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
UdechiHD: Exactly. The two are sons of the north; it's best we lay still. When we discover who the north supports ( since they determine winners because of their multitude numbers and voting strength),we would rally along and give our support in exchange for important projects instead of sinking with the losing ship. Unfortunately, our people are castigating Umahi and Obiano for sabotaging ndiigbo where as all they are doing is for our own good in case our candidate fails, 2015-2019 sufferings won't be repeated. |

OMANBALA1: Since you have decided to be stupid. Everyone should allow you to wallow in your stupidity. What is wrong in having an international airport 1hr 45mins from your house. People living on the island in lagos take more than 2hours to get their homes from Ikeja. But your plan to be stupid really opens your dirty buttocks outside. We try to breed unity amongst our people but people like you will just jump into threads to pour sand into it. What is economical about anambra that enugu cannot meet and surpass? the recent igr of enugu was even bigger than that from anambra but you make nonsense boast over nothing. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: . by Curlieweed: 4:40pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
Indeed a mighty fire gives birth to cold, timid ashes. Our ancestors resisted the Great British Empire for decades before we were pacified. Ekumeku in what is today Anioma lasted for 3 decades before they could put it down. In the SE, we resisted for almost 2 decades. Today, in just 3 years of Apeeshit , my brethren are capitulating. “Let’s not put all our eggs in one basket”. “This NK should shut up before he puts us in trouble.” This is really embarrassing! If we actually want to develop our land, we need to look inwards. The secret to development is not building roads and bridges. Physical capital of all kinds deteriorate with time. The key thing in development is capacity. If you lack capacity but you got some Chinese to build roads for you then when the roads fail you’re back at the beginning if you don’t have the funds to repair them. It is just a cargo cult mentality when people believe they can become developed because some foreign contractors are overpaid to put in some inadequate infrastructure in their neighbourhood. A cargo cult is a belief system among a relatively undeveloped society in which adherents practice superstitious rituals hoping to bring modern goods supplied by a more technologically advanced society. All successful countries developed by acquiring capacity through training, education and health care. When you acquire the required capacity, you can build your own roads, bridges, railways and other infrastructure. You can maintain them. Your productivity improves and you can develop more physical capital. If you combine this capacity with a conducive environment for doing business you’re on your way to becoming a rich society. There is no other magic formula to development. We should not allow politrickcians to decieve is that we are locking ourselves out of some goodies if some token Igbo person is not representing us on the table. They usually don’t represent us. They represent themselves, their family and close cronies ( who may not even be Igbo). I am shocked that I have to explain all this. We cannot depend on the FG to develop our land, they can’t even develop anywhere. Even Abuja is ringed with slums. We need to look inwards as our forebears did in the 40s and 50s, pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and walk the talk. Dalu nu! 4 Likes 1 Share |
