I don't believe Lukaku is bad. Just like a couple of others, football has left them temporarily. Lukaku may need at least 1 true winger since he can't be playing link up play. The team should be looking to get crosses into the box and when that happens there should be at least 3 players fighting for the ball in the box. That energy to get into the box from deep is not there

Look at Mourinho attempting to blame his lack of substitution on injuries when you had an 18 year old youngster on the bench...I checked our youth team lineup against Juventus and didn't see Chong, I thought he was injured only to see that he was part of the first team squad, you are a goal down but no, you don't trust him. If it was an attack minded coach, with the number of injuries, even Gomes would've joined the first team and at least entered the fray in the last 10-5mins.

Again, he subtly implied that our base of the defense i.e. CBs is poor hence his defensive approach but let's look at it critically, at Chelsea he had Terry and Carvalho at their prime but he still adopted a defensive approach whenever he came up against a perceived superior team, at Inter, with Walter Samuel and Lucio, he still choose to set up defensively when he met teams who were on par or slightly better, he carried the same philosophy to Madrid which caused a player revolt so I don't understand his point exactly. Granted our CBs need upgrades but let's be true to ourselves, he'll still setup to contain the opposition rather than have them tweak their game play to contain our attacking threat. Mourinho has since lost it, there's no future with him.
Even if we get Alderwireld and Maguire, Mou will still complain, he'll point to the fact that Juventus have Ronaldo so, he'd need a Messi to compete...

I don laff tire. Lukaku na Lawuwo. He must be on a diet of akpu and ogbono. The man needs to slow down on the carbs and shed some weight. Juve didn't even have to be at their best to win. Complete Stroll in the park for them. The result is not even the most painful part, but the performance. Toothless and uninspiring.

Mourinho should have thrown Tahith Chong on with 10-15 minutes to go yesterday, especially after Juve took Cuadrado off for a defender.

Juve dominated the first half with superior coaching and obvious training ground moves/tactics e.g Dybala to midfield drawing out CB + Cuadrado into the box drawing in the FB+ Cancelo advancing to the wing.

We came back in the second half due to increased aggression and sense of urgency rather than any tactical changes.

While it is good to play attacking football it is also important to handle defensive assignments, and in this case Martial failed yesterday.
He left Shaw exposed far too much, especially in 1st half in which Shaw was facing both Cuadrado and Cancelo more often than not.

On the other hand Rashford offered Young more protection but didn't offer much going forward.

Abeg stop with this excuse, who is Cancelo, who is Betancourt, who is Cuadrado, the same one that failed at Stamford bridge, who is Sczheny or whatever?
We don't have quality players but Mata was one of the best players if not the best at Chelsea when they won the UCL, he could easily be the creative engine of the team in the right set up.
Cancelo was bombarding forward evertytime, at some point in the game, I saw him working Lindelof and I almost cried...For us, the starting position of Martial and Rasford meant they had to carry the ball a long distance on most occasions to get into a threatening position.
Allegri was more positive and it paid off, the little time we pressed high up the pitch, Juventus made mistakes, you wonder why we don't approach games with a positive mindset.

Do you even know what you are saying? So Pogba, Matic, Herrera, Fred, Mctominay, Pereira, Fellaini are not midfielders, abi? Lets be realistic, you only need to play Pogba, Matic and maybe Fred to attack any team.

Regarding our defense, how many clubs have solid defenders? The same defense that was about the best in the league last season. How come these guys are playing shyte?

Tactics matter alot, if your tactics are right, nobody will complain about your defense. Check Man City (Otamendi, Laporte, Stones), Arsenal (Mustafi, Holding, and the other fringe players), Liverpool (apart from Dijk, who else?), even Chelsea (Luiz Rudiger etc), these guys are not top notch defenders, but their managers understand them and approach games with tactics that mask their weaknesses.
