Bro tell me more about the Thermocoll.... Does it make much noise?? Hope the fuel consumption minimal.... I'm a student and I'm planning to buy it

The fuel consumption rate is great, you will love it. The noise level is minimal.

Mine is going to be 5 months soon, and no issues.

Just change your oil as at when due(use Mobil oil, 20W-50) - 2 weeks minimum and 4 weeks Max, depending on your usage.

Enjoy.

I am about buying a 5kva generator.... Sumec or tec which is the best... Please give some reasons.... Thanks I appreciate...

Which generator can I get for less than 50k. What I need is fuel economy, low noise, fewer repairs and should be able to carry my laptop, bulbs, TV, iron(if possible). Thanks

I am not the Prof, I am just a follower like you. Since I have been following this thread since last year, I am going to repeat what I have seen Prof recommend here.

He said, if you are buying anything from 2.5Kva and above, go for Sumec Firman - because Sumec Firman is as good as Tec, less expensive, plus there is availability of repair parts. He recommends Tec on 1.5kva only

I hope that helps.

Gurus in the house, pls advice me on a gen to buy, I currently use a TEC gen hustler .... I changed the piston and rings few weeks bank and since then it's been consuming oil at an alarming rate and also has a weird sound at start up and when it's on. Can't even carry my fridge or freezer. So I went to a dealers place and he said he will give me elepaq 4.5kva for 82k.
My question is this, which gen can I buy for like 60k with rest of mind....no major load....freezer, manual washing machine and I use it to iron sometimes...(I know that's bad sha). And I don't switch on everything at once.
Thanks cos I cant spot original from fake.

That would be the best decision you've made this year as touching electricity. Thermocool all the way.

I've been to both offices, as a matter of fact, the Sumec head office is like on a four feet size land, and their after sales service is extremely poor, plus, they've got a lot of fakes everywhere.

Go to PZ and purchase thermocool, cheaper, stronger, and strong and reliable after sales support plus original parts handy and engineers waiting to attend to your repairs.

Instead of buying with 60k, take the gen to PZ at Toyota opposite Ladipo, and buy a brand new half engine, it's about 30-40k comes with original piston and all, their engineers will install it. And your gen will be new again.

Yes, It can power your small student fridge along with your listed electronics/appliances. Just make sure you turn on the Fridge first, then your fan and the rest can follow.

Google Thermocool Showroom closest to you as you are most likely to find it there than anywhere else.

I don't know if it is cheaper in Lagos, but here in Benin City, Tec is very expensive. Bought my Tec Junior Max for 55K, you can buy same spec by Sumec Firman for 33-35K. I agree it is stronger.

Dealers make ‘em more expensive. The cheapest place to buy is at their offices (PZ’s). Trust me.
