dilodavid: I will advice you to report this fellow to the efcc or any other security agency to put him where he belongs. 1. There is no more subclass 457 visa. It has been replaced with 482. 2. The initial entry date cannot be 01/09/2019 except you did your medicals or police certificate on 01/09/2018. 3. This is very obvious that it was edited from a copy of another visa. So many errors. 4. The officer approved the visa of 2018 in 2019. 5. This agent is not smart and very dull. He has done a very poor job of editing a document. Without looking in detail, it is obvious it is not a genuine document. 6. VEVO did not return any information about this. I actually checked VEVO to confirm if he tried to swap someone else's visa for you. No record on VEVO. 7. Did you at anytime do medicals or submit police certificate during the process? 8. The passport number, does it match with your passport? 9. How much did you pay or agreed to pay for this? 10. This person wanted to put you in more trouble. Rather than seek agent that will put you in trouble, you can do this thing by yourself. You still have time as you are not 45 yet. If you have occupation on the skill list, you can get the process started. Check the other thread for more information. 4 Likes |

Hi everyone, please I need urgent info on carrying naija foodstuff to Australia via any airport especially Brisbane airport. Moving from UK and don't want to let go of all my ogiri, ugba, crayfish, breadfruit etc. Had horrible experience with buying stuff here and ending up binning them cause of their unauthentic taste, don't want to go through that again in Oz. Please help a sister |
Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by chidike(m): 4:53am On Oct 28, 2018 |
Jessbee:Ensure everything is in a clear bag or container and labeled (including ogili). I actually travelled from New Zealand to Australia with the foodstuff my mum brought for me (Ogili, uziza, okporoko etc), I declared and when I got to the Airport in Melbourne, I showed them my card, they asked , what I had, I told them foodstuff and they let me go without checking my bag. You may not be so lucky but just make sure you declare all you have. 1 Like |

chidike: Hummm interesting! Pls how did u package ur Ogiri? Was it dried ogiri or fresh ogiri? Am seriously thinking of bringing the stuff to Aussie even if na small ogiri. |
Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by chidike(m): 8:59am On Oct 28, 2018 |
obi24:It was still in its paste form, my mum wrapped it in foil, then put it in a small transparent container and finally in a zip lock. When she brought it over from Naija, they opened it at the airport, you know how bad ogili smells, she said one of the officials said he liked the smell, lol. Anyways they allowed her go with it, was was labelled locust beans I think. I didn't have any encounter with them when I took it to Oz. 3 Likes 1 Share |

chidike: Thanks for responding. Spent all night packaging and labeling clear plastic bags already, so na to just make sure I declare and pray well they don't start checking. |
Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by Jessbee: 12:35pm On Oct 28, 2018 |
obi24: I have both ogiri and ogiri okpei. The ogiri is in small plastic containers and I put them into a clear ziplock bag and labelled. The okpei (ground) is in double ziplock bag to reduce the smell and also labelled. |
