To be honest, there's little the government can do here. The workers should learn one or two skills and start living an independent life. A work-intensive job that doesn't rely on the government before they earn. Many of them are suffering today because they relied too much on their state government. They should forget about previous salaries, concentrate on the present and fight for the future. They need some serious work-off to work-on their present predicament. Being a civil servant shouldn't be used as an excuse for laziness. Hardworking pays!!!

it's good the way things are going in Kogi State because they will never learn. I'm a kogite, and it's evidence my fellow kogite are enjoying every bit of YAHAYA BELLO rule because the should have turn against his government at every available opportunity since the beginning of this year. When they become wise, they will know what to do next.

Oga this utterance is most unfair. I am sure you might be an advocate of state police, is this how they will be owed after working hard and combatting dangerous criminals. Governors cant increase minimum wage yet they can't pay the parlous salaries. As an economist i fault your advice they ventured into business, who patronises them as civil servants form the main customer base for businesses if they don't get paid after work. Everything works together for the good of all. Learn to be critical in your thinking.

Sai Baba, rescue their sinking ship not less than 3 times ….inform of bailout funds but instead of the governors to channeled the said funds to pay the said salary it was meant to pay, they divert the money to another things that dey believe it will benefit dem.. God will surely repay them in several ways.

So you block head don't know the.public service rule stipulate that a serving public worker is not suppose to own or operate a business entity...?

I guess you are one of the people they usually give take away rice and stew to come and be spewing rubbish on social media..!!

Fact remain from the report that the state have been collecting their statutory allocation since all round the year from Abuja without break..what have they been doing with the allocation, part of which is suppose to cater for the payment of workers salaries and pensioners emoluments?

The last I check..Kogi state is almost at per with her neigbour Edo state as per allocation figure been allotted during allocation sharing and the work force too are not far apart in population, Edo from report available is neither owing a single civil servants nor pensioners as of today..how are they doing it there...?

Further we also saw/read in reports and publications of list of people reported to be fake and with fake results and i believe very much those people are no longer on the state payroll, and mind you these same people have been on payroll for a long time and the prevouse government was still paying them with no complain and default...Now those names removed, allocation frequent and still salary not paid...what could have happen?

To me the appointed boy governor is simply a disappointment...!!!

Peace..!!!

The issue of unpaid salaries in Kogi State calls for the declaration of state of emergency. Aside the indisputable ‘award-winning’ salary debtor in Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Kogi State governor is a national leader when it comes to unpaid salaries and pensions. I agree with the summation of a former Governor of Kogi State who described Governor Yahaya Bello as a ‘Legend of unpaid salaries’.

I'm very ashamed of what you just wrote. Sometimes, it's more human to keep quiet than to spew out ill thought opinions. Where in the world are civil servants not paid their salaries? Isn't the governor in question collecting his own full payments?
Your kind are the reason our rulers are still enjoying public empathy with their wickedness. Next time before you speak to show your very crude reasoning, put yourself in other people's shoes.... Thanks
