Ibadan – The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Thursday in Ibadan urged Nigerians not to vote for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying it is “ desperate and hungry for power.’’

The minister made the plea at a Special Town Hall Meeting on Infrastructure organised by the Ministry of Information and Culture to showcase the achievements of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Amaechi said that the Buhari administration had recorded unprecedented achievements on infrastructure development in three and half years than the 16 years rule of the PDP.

He said the PDP, while in power, turned the nation to a “feeding bottle” by abandoning critical infrastructure and “ sucking” the economy for personal gains.

The minister urged Nigerians to resist the PDP by voting for Buhari and ensuring that they guard their votes during the 2019 general elections.

Amaechi also said that the ruling party was prepared for an open debate with the PDP on the successes recorded, especially on infrastructure development.

“We are ready for the PDP candidate to confront us with what they achieved in 16 years and compare them to what we have done in just three and half years.
.
“We are open for the debate, our achievements on infrastructure are there to showcase,” he said.

The minister disclosed that the government was working hard to ensure the completion of Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail project by February 2019.

“We are working day and night on this project and we have started laying the tracks from Papalanto.

“I want to thank the people and the communities along the rail tracks for their cooperation because they have never given us trouble,” he said.

The minister also said that after completing the Lagos-Ibadan section of the project, the focus would turn to the Lagos-Kano standard gauge.

Amaechi also disclosed that the government was embarking on a $500 million transit camp initiative on the Ibadan-Iseyin road in Oyo State which would have a modern mall and hotel.

He urged residents of Ibadan to take advantage of the booming economic activities as a result of the Federal Government initiatives.

The Ministers of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and his Water Resources counterpart, Suleiman Adamu, gave the scorecards of the administration from the perspective of their respective ministries.

Thief atiku should not just bother to waste his precious time and resources,
He should Better give up than to disgrace himself.
How can he turned back the time?
Will he start to construct the infrastructure he fails to do 16yrs ago?
Where will he start from to be able to meet up with the best president achievement.
The challenge is enormous.
Buhari till 2023,
Apc till 2060.

You were part of the ''destruction'', so don't try to exonerate yourself and play the saint. We know who to vote for, so don't bother us with your voter education. Your party is a failure and we promise to do the needful come 2019.

Thank you.

A CORRUPT MAN CANNOT FIGHT CORRUPTION

-------------------
Muhammadu Buhari started his anti corruption crusade with $2.1bn Dasukigate, Sambo Dasuki was arrested, Raymond Dokpesi, Fani Kayode, Musuliu Obanikoro, Olisa Metuh, and Reuben Abati were also arrested in connection with Dasukigate.
.
While the government was busy wanking and masturbating with the gale of arrests and media frenzy that trailed the episodic drama, Dasuki opened up that Buhari also benefited from the $2.1bn arms fund,
.
Dasuki reveled that he bought 2 bulletproof SUVs for Buhari from the money, he also gave him $300,000 from the same money, But Buhari denied collecting any money from Dasuki, he said he only got 2 bulletproof SUVs form him as his entitlement being a former head of state.
.
Muhammadu Buhari forgot that former heads of state entitlements have never come from the office of the NSA before but office of the SGF, they said those accusing Buhari are the corrupt people fighting back. And that was how Dasukigate died a natural death.
.
The allegation of MTN N500m bribery scandal involving Buhari's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari popped up. Tukur Buratai's multi million dollars Dubai mansions were uncovered.
.
Abdurrahman Dambazau arms procurement fraud and estate bought in Boston, USA was revealed.
.
Rotimi Amaechi's several attempts to bribe Supreme Court justices to give APC favorable election judgment were exposed.
.
Kayode Fayemi's corruption allegation also came up, but Buhari shamelessly told the whole world that all the corruption allegation leveled against people in his government are false because he checked them before appointing them.
.
Then the Senate exposed how the then SGF, Lawal Babachir used N570m to cut grass in IDP camps, Buhari's government cleared him of any wrong doing.
.
The government also cleared Ibrahim Magu of the weighty corruption allegations leveled against him, in fact, Muhammadu Buhari officially wrote the Senate that both men are clean.
.
Then the Ikoyi orphaned money once again exposed how corrupt this government is.
He suspended Babachir that he cleared twice of the same allegation.
.
Up till this moment the report of the probe panel is not known to the public.
.
A witness told the court that Buhari's lawyer who was representing him in the certificate suit gave the presiding judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola N500,000 at the period the case was still on but they said it wasn't a bribe but a gift. Just recently one of Buhari's ministers, Ibe Kachikwu tactically exposed the biggest single corruption case in the history of this country, a whooping $25bn fraud in a government of saints?
.
If Buhari that is the petroleum minister can approve contracts worth $25bn without due process and transparency, then why are we still talking about anti graft war under this government?
.
Former Adamawa state acting governor, James NGILARI was sentenced to 25years jail term for approving an awarded contract of N125m without due process and PMB e-rats called him looters but Buhari approved NNPC N9trn contract illegally and with no due process & you shamelessly still want us to have the impression that he isnt corrupt?
.
I know you are pained, dissapointed and embarrassed to have fooled yourselves all along with a Buhari's holier than thou propaganda.
.
Let me expressly let you know that 25 years jail term await Buhari, Abba Kyari and Baru after the tenure of office.

Of recent, the governor of kano state who is a Buharist, Alh Gandollar was film and captured on tape collecting bribe in dollars from contractor. His commissioner tag it as normal under Buhari's administration to collect kick back. Up to now, no comment from the presidency with regard to that. Buhari is corruption personified.
.
There is a whole lot of looting massively going on in this government but the only corrupt people they know are the opposition !!!

Nigerians expect monumental projects in two-three years. Even Osita Chidoka unwittingly admitted to the fact that it normally takes a tenure to complete paperwork and execute a project up to 30%. Which was why the APC had to build on already existing projects that were moving at slow pace and had to offset funds owed to contractors.

An economy is better to be built on development of infrastructures and not GDP figures that is largely controlled by oil prices.

you must be a newbies,
I have explained severally in this forum that bag of rice was sold @8,000 as of February 2015, by April 2015 it was 12,000.
Goggle is your friend.
How many rice did Pdp produce in 16yrs,?
They used $20b to import rice to kill our economy.
The $20b that is enough for agricultural revolution like what buhari is doing right now.
You want thief atiku and obituary to continue the importation of rubbish into the country to detriment of our economy.
Pdp could not get up-to 200b naira from custom, but today custom can raise 1.5tr naira in year.
Federal inland revenue service could not raise 500b naira during corruption era,
But today FIRS can raise 50% which is 4tr naira to fund the budget without depending solely on oil.

We have resolved to add PDP's votes to PMB/PYO's next year.

in the history of voting, southwest don't vote against their own. Atiku picking out of southwest is a big advantage to Buhari

AMAECHI SCORECARD UNDER PDP

Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi was Speaker (Rivers State House of Assembly) from 1999-2007 (8 Years)

Governor from 2007 - 2013 before defecting to the APC (6 Years)

Amaechi sucked the "feeding bottle" under the PDP for 14 good years out of 16 years.

That is why no reasonable folks take seriously to what he says
