pope191: My brother you shall live long .. You said the truth.. It is very unfortunate that a lot of these drivers don't present themselves very well... have been in the country for weeks now , and I can say that you are very correct... some of them complain that they have degrees, Msc etc nobody cares go out there and work.. Dress to impressed and carry yourself professionally and be humble. But some of these uber drivers don't even wash their cars.. They forget that uber business is also a customer service type business... yes I can also agree that riders can be rude ,but as a professional you can put them in check without been aggressive with them or rude ...it comes with the job ,some days you meet great riders and some u get crazy ones ..as long as you get more nice riders than the bad you fine.. But if you keep getting the crazy ones all the time ..it means you yourself have a problem.. And the ones that have so called degree feel so entitled .so because you have all the degrees ,make job fall on your lap ? The mind set of the youth needs to change... I shake my heads at times, nothing really has changed with the youth in these country... 8 Likes |

pope191: I am so impressed with what you said bro ... because of the truth you said ,your likes will be very few ..nobody likes to hear the truth at all ...a lot of these people are either slaves to themselves or slaves to their mechanic... until they calm down and listern to the truth.. They will continue to be slaves, it is not a curse ..it is how the universe works ...this same statement you made ,was stated few years ago on uber thread... People need to make the best out of it now ..nothing last forever.. Uber drivers that are complaining that work is hard and this and that.. What about people that don't have a job .. A man has kids and looking for ways to feed his children... and you are there complaining about rude riders etc ...count your blessings people.... It is not easy anywhere in the world ... 8 Likes 1 Share |

dru23: Now you guys are starting to sound like you are only hating because you have chosen to ignore the point. The whole degree and MSc talk only came up as a response to someone that feels he knows how to talk....saying he blames the drivers that take the e-hailing business as a full time employment. All d peeps that talked about degree only stated it to make him know that he's probably not as educated or qualified as some of the drivers he's referring to, so the fact he's in a white collar employment and looking at drivers like people that don't have other things to do is a result of the rubbish that occurs in the country, where the few opportunities land in the hands of the very fortunate or connected. So he can't just be talking when he doesn't know what led them into the business. Nobody is saying uber is not good, or that some people are too big for uber. As long as it pays your bills and you don't have to cheat/scam people for a living, it's fine by me. But let me ask you, if you had the opportunity to sit in an office, earn half a million per month, under d AC and be addressed with respect 24/7, would you rather be driving?....No. So there's nothing wrong with letting sum1 running his mouth know that he's probably not the most qualified for his current position. This is a country where fortune and privileges(connections) determine people's lives and we must not forget that. 12 Likes |

To all my uber partners / customers.. This is coming soon at a friendly price ...dru23 shake tables with engine oil ..it is time to rattle the market and break one or two legs in the coolant market..... You need coolant in your car people.. It will change the life of your car and pocket... and stop spending wasting money at the mechanic shop ..do the basic and in return you spend less at the mechanic.... Most mechanics won't preach this to you ... We can't continue to be buying fake coolant .. We all need to move forward and maintain our cars ...good maintenance = less time at the mechanic = money save = happy car owner.. 2 Likes

SoapMactavish: Boss! We are on the same page, I am referring to the person as well. You said half a million job per month, how many job do pay that? Take statistic of the number of your departmental mates and faculty in general again... How many of them are gainfully employ or underemployed? Mine! I think 5 out of 100, the rest are just roughing it, best student (crook/smart) is still searching, second best pick a teaching job, I can't even think of a bank contract or 60k job, I value flexibility of time than anything. Now my concern is the societal sting, make up artist, event planner all look down on uber guy and somewhat don't want to have anything to do with them. Why? I guess its the charisma and oddness that comes with the job perception... My ex requested 10k from me in addition to get a phone, I'm still considering the thaught of giving, but in line of our chat, she mention her current bf being a banker and I could see the enthusiasm in her face/words like BANKER, up till now I've not reach out to her, that's the last she heard from me regarding the phone issue, let d banker bf take care of her needs. So boss my write up is just about perception and not hating. I didn't drive until I saw someone with MSc from London, lawyers and co driving, up till now, I dare not hang phone... But does it really matter? 5 Likes |

dru23: Mr Dru...... You are absolutely correct,I had once experience of such recently.Guess what!...... The Uber driver that came to pick my Uncle's wife and sister was shabily dressed with a torn trouser,in addition his car was not washed from previous usage. Moreover, when we wanted to put her lugages I observed some items of personal effects in the car trunk, clearly shows he sleeps in the car. |
