I remember the day my dad bought the Toshiba mutli system VHS player back in the early 90s. That was the shiit back then...super sharp quality. And we used to get our movies from Samaco in Yaba. When Cash n Carry on Broad Street used to sell movies for N50/N70, my Dad used to get the super sharp clarity VHS tapes at Samaco for N300. Chai! It was like DVD quality before DVD. Men! My dad loved anything entertainment back then. We had all the latest movies...Some of my favorite movies back then were Above the Law (Yeun Baio), Dark Angel/I Come in Piece (Dolph Lundgren), Universal Soldiers (Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren), anything with Jacky Jan, all Roger Moore and Sean Connery James Bond movies, Lethal Weapon movie series (Mel Gibson and Danny Glover), Basic Instict (Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone)...etc 2 Likes |

Only constant thing in life is change, nothing lasts forever. The reason man cannot put his mind on material things but on God in who there is no shadow or alteration of change. |

These are for the rich folks. We had them, but it took some time. We used black and white for a long time sef before buying colour TV. That's why people should not chase vanity. Suddenly it's old school... These days people no longer buy LCD TV again. 1 Like |

How the world changes. Our first video machine was for films recorded on NTSC signals. The result was that we could watch a lot of American films and few local film which were mainly recorded in PAL. We had to buy another more advance machine that could pick the three common recording signals of the time. God is wonderful! |
