I have no respect for this man after his statement of power returning to the southwest in 2023. So it's only the north and the southwest that are qualified to rule Nigeria? What about the middlebelters that bind this country together? What about the South South whose resources the whole country depends on 100%? What about the creative and resourceful Southeasterners? In short Fashola is a foool

deomelo:

Okonjo saw the numbers far back in 2012 and told us to get ready for recession.

Okonjo saw the numbers and screamed danger back in 2013

Okonjo and Jona declared austerity measures in 2014 when oil was selling for $75/barrel.

We thank God she was not in charge when oil dropped down to $27/barrel.

Bottom line, Fashola was factual and right on the money, the economy was on life support between 2012 to 2015 when Nigerians kicked Jona out of office, in fact, he borrowed hundreds of billions to pay workers, salary till his last month in office.

Sorry, we're not interested in what happened nearly 4 years ago. However, we are very interested in why things cost more, power is not better, free speech is being limited, terrorists are still rampant, and innocent people are being killed.

Please face front, and concentrate on your job, not on what was done or not done by the previous administration.

Fashola, did GEj win the election or did he lose? Are you saying that he shouldn't have relinquished power even though he lost the election?

So by your assessment, if he had one the election, he will then hand over to Buhari.

Better tell us that GEJ asked Jega to rig the election in favour of Buhari because of the imminent recession at that time.

You disappoint sometimes dha

Lies. All i want to say is, if buhari wishes to emulate the good behaviour and the sense of humility of Jonathan, he too should just accept defeat come 2019. We learnt he's bringing seretely into the country foreign fulanis to unleash terror and destabilize the country next year in case he loses. Election shouldn't be a do or die affair. If people say they don't want you, just leave honourably because the power of ballot rests upon them.

Oga fashola, you don high on weed oo. Why didn't you also say Nelson Mandela fulfilled the promise of handing over power after his first term in office because of the imminent world economic recession? centuries to come, Mandela would remain an African hero for that cause. Here in Nigeria, balogun of daura promised us that he'd do only one term and leave, now he's seeking re-election despite failed governance and insecurity that have greeted his administration since 2015. I voted him in 2015, thinking he'd act as he did in the 80s now I know it was idiagbon who was behind the stern rule that time because buhari is nothing but a toothless bulldog . I still have a copy of the punch newspaper where he made the single term statement in my office. Papers don't lie. They deceived us that they came under the umbrella of change yet, the level of corruption and electoral fraud in this government, including vote buying is second to none. I was in ife last week and polled some people about the recent guber election. They said they were shocked to hear apc won because they didn't vote for aregbesola. I watched the video in which ganduje of kano received dollar bribe money. The journalist who exposed him told kano HA boldly that he can play the full video to them if they wish, shame! Change in deed. Nobody can deceive me again.

South South has ruled and they still rule. The middlebelt too will rule very soon. But the South East is a no no and you know why.

Fashola was spot on with his assessment of jonathan's concession of defeat.

Seems you are talking from both sides of your mouth,on the one hand you're regaling us about how the economy was so bad that Jonathan decided to abscond and handed power to the APC and on the other hand you finally concluded by telling us that NIGERIANS kicked out Jonathan..
Maybe you should make up your mind on which is which.. shocked
