@Nayaaaa, France hardly gives visa,i always advice peeps to apply for schengen visa through spain. This what i normally use to enter europe. You land in barcelona ,enjoy your self for 2 or 3 days then take a bus, train or flight( no immigration checks)to France or wherever. 7 Likes |

If you are to appeal to the French embassy you won't even get any response any time soon. The mistake you made was applying to them at the first place you should have tried Italy and still need to visit France you can go from there. You are travelling back on 8th nothing can be done. Just enjoy ya trip to UK. Next time France seems to b extorting people that's what I can see. It's never your application is them. .good luck |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Cyberknight: 8:58am On Oct 27, 2018 |
mrcodebreaker: Sorry about your refusal. However, as someone else has already pointed out, an appeal is pointless as the reason for your trip has already ceased to exist given that you're travelling on the 8th. The appeals process is long and is not really designed to favour appellants, unfortunately, so its best left for those who have enduring grounds to appeal, such as those with business commitments, students and those seeking long-stay permits. Best option is to try again (but not soon); I'd advise you try from summer next year. Secondly, it should be noted that the French have tightened up really seriously. I passed through Charles de Gaulle last month and they were really checking and questioning people rigorously and pulling people out of line here and there at a rate I've not seen before, especially at 6 am in the morning. They, along with Germany and Austria, have also reintroduced border controls contrary to the Schengen Agreement, so those who are planning to enter France after obtaining visas to other Schengen countries might want to bear that in mind - there are now checks unlike what used to happen before. As you said you're self-employed, you may want to review your financials. As you probably know, it's not just the final balance that counts, but the flow of transactions in and out. Unfortunately the Schengen countries use generic refusals unlike the UK who give you a rough reason why they refused the visa, so you have to review all aspects of your application. Bottom line: France is slowly aligning with the UK in reducing the number of visas it issues even to people who would previously have qualified, so that should be borne in mind. 1 Like |

Johnokafor10001: No-one can predict anyone's chances, but if they ask you for documents, give them what they ask. At least it shows that they're actively considering your application and are not just going to reject it out of hand for failure to provide necessary documentation. |

Johnokafor10001: They will frustrate life out of you dude! You just have to turn up yourself.... You should have made that courier payment at the time you submitted the application. Also, they will never tell you the decision on your passport, they won't. 2 Likes |
