forgiveness: 1987 till recently is something you should be ashamed of. Thats why I said you folks are not planners. And if you plan then something else has to go terribly wrong. Im not sure you know when we started thinking of building the SGR because it was not in the 2010s. We were mulling it in the 90s but didnt have the funds. Not to mention we would have gone broke. Did you just say the Itakpe - Ajaokuta WILL DO double stack? So its not even working as yet? My friend. After 31 yrs you are still waiting. The thing will go obsolete without ever being used. Even South Africans dont have mono rail, only recently they are thinking of building in Joburg and Capetown. Unsurprisingly, your monorail has taken 8 yrs to be partially completed. Less then 300 Km and its not even complete. Thats madness! All goes back to what I was telling you, If you plan nicely then the execution part has to be wobbly. If we decide to build a mono rail in Kenya today it wouldnt even take 2 yrs to compete. Thats the difference. We dont have so much patience. Anyway, dont wanna sound like a hater so for any of the rail things you have built that are actually WORKING, kudos! 3 Likes |

Hati13: Yeaaah Wenedem I told you we were going for a draw in Ethiopia and then whoop you in Kenya . Dont be sick I think you should support us during this upcoming Afcon if we qualify. We would do the same if you qualified We used to play very well back in the dayz. Its not so much about the current coach as it is about better football management. For the first time we have a federation prez who is slowly proving to have a working brain. Btw, Wenedem, I liked the pro - Africa Unite banners by your football fans at the game in Nairobi. You guys rock. You should have watched |

Kazikazi:You're ahead when it comes to backwardness... That you'll have to wait until Jesus comes back, the other day you just like IMF claimed how the Kenyan SGR will cost us losses, just check the latest news.... And BTW I/we Kenyans won't mind if our debts will be 100%of GDP as long it has been put into a proper use, ...I agree SA is ahead of Kenya in many aspects but we're coming from behind with a much faster pace than them, we're closing the gap in insfrustructure, real estates, education, innovation, HDI name it...actually we've overtaken them in some 1 Like |

sasol: South African doctors perform HEART surgery on wrong patient. Pretty much the same circumstances as the Kenyan case so the joke is on ya It’s one of my worst nightmares come true: a woman is hospitalised for a respiratory infection, and ends up in theatre having heart surgery. The hospital and doctors involved have reportedly apologised. They said it was a misunderstanding, and mix-up over names. They’ve also said the patient won’t have to pay for the unnecessary surgery. It’s yet another example of iatrogenic (doctor-caused) disease, that is, unfortunately, not all that rare. 3 Likes |

Kazikazi: I think South Africa gautrain is the only Standard gauge railway system in South Africa and it is just 80km. They operate metrorail which runs on the old outdated Cape gauge. Gautrain is a commuter rail that was built to ease the congestion on Pretoria - Johannesburg highway. It is electrical and can run at 160km/hour. We are building standard gauge railway for commuter rail from Lagos- Kano which is around 1,238 km at 120-130km/hrs. Of which Abuja- Kaduna segment has been completed and operational. The Lagos -Ibadan segment will be operational in December and it will bring the total length of the standard gauge railway project to 343km. The Itakpe-Warri standard gauge railway has been completed. It is around 230km. The 1,402km Lagos- Calabar standard gauge railway project will commence soon. This standard gauge railway project is beside the existing and functional cape gauge railway system spanning 3,300km, light rail system in Abuja, monorail in port Harcourt/Calabar and the metro system (which does not exist in South Africa) in Lagos either completed or under construction. |
