horsepower101:see...that suggestion should be considered. There are so many cases in history where countries add to their landmass by acquiring extra lands thru negotiation. As i said...alaska was bought from russia by u.s. Even wales was add to england thru negotiation. Eritrea became a part of ethiopia thru negotiations. Bakassi penisular became a part of cameroon thru negotiations. Is it unreasonable to offer to go with only the 5 SE states and then negotiate with fg to acquire PARTS (only parts) of these 3 lgas leading up to the sea. We can even offer 500 million usd to be paid over a period of time for the lands. They are lands bro...and they are not that large. Plus they are polluted lands too with little agric value. But buying them for even as high as 500 million usd guarantees that igboland will not be landlocked anymore. Reason am o 1 Like |

Bede2u: WE DONT NEED IT. THE SOUTH EAST AS CURRENTLY PLACED IS NOT LANDLOCKED.. WE ALREADY HAVE DIRECT ACCESS TO THE SEA THROUGH OBAKU. In the event of a break up, the rivers that flow to the sea will be treated as international waters as done all over the world and governed by the United Nations. 5 Likes |

I wish to state here and now that i can be on any thread i wish on NL, regardless of wether anyone or group considers my presence there necessary or not. I do what i want, when and how. Now that i have established my position, i wish to state that the map of Biafra that has territories of unwilling ethnicities stupidly drawn into it wasn't drawn by me but IPOB and IPOB for all intents and purposes remains a property of the Igbos of SE Nigeria. If Igbos do not want a greater resentment from minority SS groups from what we already have on ground, they should caution IPOB fr drawing inciting maps and should as a matter of cordial and peaceful coexistence limit all IPOB activities to their areas i.e the 5 SE states and Asaba/Aniocha areas of Delta. The least Igbos can do now is to offend people they rather be courting, else some lessons might be taught. Lessons that would be hard to forget. He that has an ear, let him hear. Thanks. |

Bede2u: Chai!!!!! I consider this post an ABOMINATION. What kind of suggestion is this? Anioma remains part and parcel of Igboland as recorded by Ohaneze. You should be talking about negotiating with the communities that benefit from that bridge that crosses the IMO river from Rivers state to Akwa Ibom so that the bridge can be demolished in order to pave way for massive dredging of the IMO river from the Atlantic Ocean to Abia state. 1 Like |

HopeAtHand: And my point is that if you have been following this thread, which i am very sure that you have, majority of Igbos actually and surprisingly agree with you. But you have a habbit of using a minority opinion to replace a majority opinion in order to push your anti-igbo agenda. Enough, 3 Likes |

HopeAtHand: Obigbo is Igboland. It is and will always be. Last time I checked, you are an Ikwerre and your Ikwerre land is landlocked. When and if the Ijaws get their Oil Rivers state proposal approved, your eyes will clear. Inasmuch as I'm not insupport of adding Ogoniland to Igboland, the point had to be made that you are neither Ogoni nor spokesperson for Ogoni people, so you might just need to stay in your Bini Ikwerreland and stay off this thread. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

Bede2u: You can't negotiate with FG for Ogoniland, you can only negotiate with Ogonis for affiliation with Biafra. Obigbo is Igboland as it stands, so I don't know why you had to put it there. Ogonis are not all that friendly neighbors to Ndiigbo in Obigbo, they have been fighting Obigbo people for Obigbo lands, the crisis there was so high in the 1990s that Obigbo people had to invite their brothers in Ukwa East and West, Abia State for help , it wasn't until then was Obigbo lands kept free from land grabbing Ogonis, who initially thought that Obigbo was a lone Wolf they could overwhelm with their superior numbers in Rivers state. The constant squabble between Ogonis in Tai and Obigbo Igbos was the major reason Obigbo was carved out of old Tai LGA, and made an independent LGA of it's own. The Ogonis are not necessarily a bad people, but personally, I'd rather not share a country with them. Already, the Eleme Ogonis who feel privileged and better positioned, because they host most of the multinational corporations in Ogoniland including the Onne seaport, are already separating themselves from Khana, Gokana and Tai Ogonis, they are saying Eleme is now an independent ethnic group. That's the kind of mindset they have over there. Ogoniland clean up is going to take billions of naira to execute , where will a young Biafra get such Money from to start cleaning Nigeria mess in Ogoniland? Knowing these people and their sense of entitlement and injustice, they would start shouting IGBO domination and marginalization, the moment we don't focus our resources on their area. Is it really worth the headache? I don't think so. Maybe a better diplomatic Biafra team might still win them into joining us, as I personally don't fancy them, nor do I see them deciding to join us. But you have to give away the very idea of dividing and annexing people land without their consultation, it's a very wrong mindset. Your idea of discussing with FG for Ogoniland, as if Ogoni people are imbeciles with no group input or opinions on the matter, is repugnant and such mindset needs to die. Having said that, I love and recognize your passion for Igbo nation well being. Jisike. 13 Likes 1 Share |

pazienza: Sango is the only god which is shaking his severed head in disagreement, all Igbo deities are the same with Ikwerre deities because we are one. I am from Ika south in Delta state but we have same Chi with all other Igbos. Sango can go and jump into the lagoon |

horsepower101: Most of them suffer from Inferiority complex. They crave the attention those Igbos that claim them give them. They revel in it, and it gives them a sense of importance. Which is why I'm personally determined to crush their fragile egos and render them irrelevant, by affirming and maintaining the fact that Ikwerres are not Igbos. They lack the entrepreneurship spirit and the hardworking "I must conquer poverty" drive of the average Igbo man. They are also irrelevant to our group objectives in the large scheme of things, all things being considered. There is simply nothing to be gained that can't be done without, by Igbos claiming that Ikwerres are Igbos. But we stand to lose alot that can never be replaced by accepting Ikwerre as Igbo. 10 Likes 1 Share |

pazienza: Ikwerres, Ika and all Aniomas are firmly Igbos from origin till forever. Your trying to disagree for them is like trying to cook an ocean till boiling point. I met an Ikwerre man today in the diaspora and he was the one who told me they have since joined IPOB's meetings and will secceed with all n other Igbos. 2 Likes 1 Share |

BankeSmalls:The way I am seeing this Ikwere stuff, it seems that those that are rejecting that Igbo tag are louder, I don't know if they are in majority or minority. Then when it comes to issue of you seeing an Ikwere man outside Nigeria joining Ipob, that one is certain because some of them join igbo organisations and Igbos to have a voice. Not only Ikwere, I have seen some non igbos in SS joining Igbo union in diaspora including IPOB. In fact, this Ikwere saga is complicated and should be treated as inconsequential case. Are IkwereS up-to 4 million? 7 Likes 1 Share |
Re: . by pazienza(m): 11:12pm On Oct 27, 2018 |
BankeSmalls: Ofcourse, in diaspora where they don't have much of their people to form association, they have to settle for the next option, which is Ndiigbo. It's only normal. Those same Diasporan Ikwerres when they return home and join their people in Rivers, would quickly revert to their Igbophobic nature. 12 Likes 1 Share |
