Yes!

High cholesterol level gives room for arterial plaquing i.e. predispose to damping of cholesterol into the wall of the arteries. This will cause the arteries to hardened up and when the normal distensibility is overcome with time, a HBP may come up.

Except there is confirmation to a high blood cholesterol being a cause to your high blood pressure or heart disease,it is not advisable to seek treatment to reduce it.
Treatment plans:

1. Diet:

i.) Ensure a reduction in food containing high cholesterol content. Example of such are most dairy products are milk,egg and others.

ii.) Less intake of fatty food may also reduce high blood cholesterol in the long run.

iii.) Vegetable diet can be of help too.

2. Exercise both for weight loss and reduction of the body fat.
3.Use of medications.

my Daddy has been coughing and the doctors said it has to do with his blood pressure. Pls what is the cause and treatment to this. It is something that can be managed or should I be worried

Okay. Not so serious as one should bother much about. Kindly get any of those antitussive drugs to ease the coughing reflex.Before that,he discuss with his doctor taking one. If symptoms continue please see doctor.
