playing for their country of birth will be their top choice but what happens when making it to the senior team of these countries seems difficult? many who waited in the past for possible call ups all regretted it when their were either capped and dumped nor over looked. players like agbolanhor, patrick awomoyela, onuoha, the late ehiogu, carlton cole etc all regretted turning out for england and germany and would have been significant figures in the international scene is they played for nigeria. these aforementioned individuals are currently advising the younger generation to consider playing for nigeria is the opportunity arises. komekn: You always find a way to twist matters just to suit ur narrative, don't u? When Klopp signed Solanke last season, he had every intention of making him a first team player. Sturridge and Ings injury coupled with Origi's desire for more playing time paved way for Solanke to be the second choice striker last season but he blew it. 1 goal in 27 games! He no longer even makes the bench this season . . |

tbaba1234: Wow, Adegbenro just recovering from injury and he's already scoring? Commendable. I've seen him play in the Champions League, he's a decent player who shouldn't be playing in a better league than the Norwegian league. |

So, nobody could detect that I was just joking around with that Ross Barkley comment? Y'all must really be sober about the guy... Anyway, he's not a fresh baby boy, I cannot regret the loss of player wey no be fresh baby boy Now, if asampete like Loftus-Cheek was eligible for Nigeria, I would have burnt down NFF glass house for losing him to England 2 Likes |

Danielnino00: Literally the forgotten man was given a life line essentially his last chance. It seems I'll be eating steaming hot appple pie not humble pie where Sadiq is concerned. Sadiq had a woeful first debut rated third worst player in the Rangers team. He also got a yellow card for diving as well his game today was shambolic. I have said this several times why does he keep falling down at the slightest of physical contention. As if he has flat feet and lacks balance. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46009949 Tam McManus says Umar Sadiq will not play for Rangers again. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/10/28/tam-mcmanus-says-umar-sadiq-will-not-play-for-rangers-again/ For the record l have called Isaac Success a WASTEMAN no one else for now. |

Danielnino00: You are comically deceptive. Dis you speak to Klopp and he confirmed the bolded to you ❓ Or did you speak to the Michael or Alex yo confirm your view at Liverpool. I can assure you Liverpool want to win the EPL and maybe the Champions league as well. Those big ambitions will require World class proven and tested players and a lot of millions of pounds. Solanke is none of those things and he cost peanuts, he is untested and unproven. Just a very cheap player with a lot of potential. I'd he doesn't play he will not improve and if he can't improve he will not play so it's a catch 22. Big clubs have little patience. There is nothing twisted just the plain undiluted reality of how things are at top clubs in the EPL. Your lack of knowledge shows you know very little. |

charlesemeka85: You are undoubtedly quite correct. However, the conduct of the NFF has not presented a viable trust worthy clearly better option. Consider the way the NFF in recent times treated Sone Aluko, Hope Akpan, Dominic Iorfa, Maja, Eze, Ademola, etc The NFF is actually no better, but in the name of Love of the Fatherland accept to play. It's the same way we love our country irrespective of all the negatives. |

ChrisKels: Firstly don't presume you know what I am thinking or what my intentions are. That's not wisdom. Dominic Iorfa has been playing first team football since he was 17 he has played near 120 games in the Championship. He was winning MOTM awards when he played in the championship with Omeruo playing for Middlesbrough, who never got one. He was invited to the train with the English senior football team, that's how highly rated he was. Since Mendes super agent essentially took control of the club. The club has been the subject of an FA investigation on account of conflict of interest. Wolves is a project and they have a Portuguese manager and more Portuguese players than Porto and Benfica. Most of the English players have been frozen out and very unceremoniously dropped for Portuguese replacement. Dominic Iorfa has not lost quality he is in very unique and unprecedented situation in English football. He is in the way of the new Mendes business model for Wolves. He is not an a academy player just denied opportunity at the club. 1 Like |

komekn: Solanke was made a first team player last season. he started many games...He simply couldn't live up to the hype. He is a real waste man. I don't need to speak to Klopp or anybody at Liverpool to know that..Being a long time Liverpool fan is enough . But then, since u live in the UK and have meet every single footballer, manager and club owner there u might help us confirm it. 6 Likes |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by komekn(m): 9:26am On Oct 29, 2018 |
Danielnino00: There are about 4/5 players who are youth players registered for the first team. Being registered doesn't really make you a first team player, maybe on paper and officially but that's about it. Dominic Iorfa is a registered first team player for Wolves, but he is essentially not in the first team. Once again you lack knowledge and understanding. Unfortunately being long life fan is not enough to know what is the real situation is. You need to talk to those In the know within the club. Otherwise you are just using your imagination and lack of knowledge. You are essentially in the dark, blind but think you can see. Sorry to say. |

komekn: A player that played 27 games for Liverpool last season and was second choice striker isn't a first team player? Well done Mr Knowledgeable.... I know why u are putting in so much effort to defend Solanke's mediocrity... But if it were Success, Osimhen or Iheanacho you won't be saying such.. 8 Likes |
