I am Batch B stream II 2018 corp member currently serving at Jigawa State, ask me any questions about Jigawa State and I will answer you...... Jigawa is a Cool and Peaceful place to serve honestly. Shared borders with Kano, Yobe, Bauchi and Kastina... and shared boundries with one of our neighbour hood country which is Niger Republic.... From the Town I am posted to. Niger republic is just #400 T-fare.. I have not been to the 3 States Jigawa shared boundries with except Kano, from the Town I am posted to. Kano is just #350 which is 1hr:15min or so, From the Town I am to Dutse is Also #350 which is also 1hr+...I am posted to Taura Local Government, Kwalam Town. Under Taura LG.... Here cost of livings are very cheap, u will cook soup of #300-#350 Fish is expensive than Meat here...last week I bought a meat of #200 was cut in to more than 7 pieces, water Mellon and Sugar cane is their best fruit here, a ball of water Mellon during this drying season goes for #50 but when I asked they said they sell a ball of water Mellon #20 during Raining season.... Barbing here is also cheap, children #50... Youth and Adult is #100 with gud smart hair Curt but me can't Barb here sha I have my personal barba for Lagos just like Paul Pogba.... Charging of fone here is #20 if u want to charge two fones #30 We watched football here for just #30 both UCL and EPL or any Star match.... Me I subscribed by paying #200 monthly to watch all d matches we corpers here do wonder how these Hausa people do pay DStv monthly.... Here ehhnn.... they always feel like who English help? 90% of them here didn't understand pidgin not to talk of correct English... In my PPA those teachers use Hausa to teach students.... In my SS2 class, only 4 students understood English better out of like 60-70 students.... and those four students can't speak or understand fluently, I remembered the day I called one out, he doesn't put on sander asked him where's his Sander.... he's giving me duster, Thanks to one of those 4 students that interpreted in hausa to him..... They greet u Gud evening in morning, Gud morning at evening lol... To understand English is not important to them some don't even know #20, #50, #100 etc...in English they call it in Hausa language.... naira iri blaablaah.... Remembered my first day in market.....I was displaying like deaf to buy somethings, I was displaying like deaf to ask for where I can buy Bucket and Broom...if u see it, u can point ur hand at it, if u don't see oh boi u go display ni oooo.... seems I'm talking too much let me stop here ask ur questions 3 Likes |

Beginning of the journey to Jigawa State.... I graduated from one of best State University in Nigeria, south west to be precise.... graduated July 2017, hoping to go for service in that same year which was Nov 2017 for Batch B but unfortunately didn't work out due to late clearance and other stuffs like Convocation. So we were all hoping for April 2018 Batch A set... Fast forward to April my school only Mobilized just 6/118 graduated students in my department everyone were disappointed after joining differents Nysc WhatsApp groups and even telling your parents, relatives, neighbors that you are going for service by April, but God knows the best..... We were all furious in our departmental WhatsApp group chat even on School pcm group chats.... People start bringing in rumors that next batch is NOV no batch B in July blaablaahblahhh...... But schockenly Nysc open their portal for another remobilization in July.... Let me stop here before I continue I wan go watch ball #UCL Man U vs Juve |

Senate list came out my name wasn't on the Senate list with some of my departmental mate While some saw their names on the Nysc mobilization list for B stream 1, as usual I Left those Nysc pcm groups again.... Hoping for Nov....had a friend back in school then she's my departmental mate, in undergraduate days I didn't like her just for a friend only, I confessed to her dat I love her that I would like to date her but she does denied me till we graduated from school but still in contact by chatting with each other, so she's also in haste of leaving her parent house for this Nysc of a thing, we were both on the same WhatsApp group, she do chat me privately concerning any latest news about Nysc and I do call her too, so one day she messaged me on Whatsapp that she heard Nysc will be opening portal again on August for another fresh mobilization....my mind is already out of this Nysc then cuz I'm already tired of answering questions of "when are you going for service" so when she told me I said "Okay" but in my mind already lose hope, hoping for Nov....but one faithful day she told me there is a woman in our school student affairs helping people for mobilization under ground....she went to school, met the woman for help, the woman accepted to help her assuring her she would definitely see her name, oooh I didn't say this girl name...her name is ENIOLA "Enny". So enny Called me on fone and told me how people are are fighting for there selves in school with connection, and she explained how the woman was planning to help her. immidiatly I told her on fone to help me to talk to the woman on my behalf to help me too, but the woman said only if I can travel down to school my self. Fortunately it is a week of Post UTME, my younger brother having exam the next day so I gave my details to my younger bro to give it to d woman, give description of the woman office to my bro....he got it right and spoke with the woman on fone, after dropping call......I sent 2k worth of airtime to her, she appreciated that and assured me my name would be out..... the following week I lost my phone, fast forwarded Senate list was out..... Enny Saw her name, she was trying my number to know if I have seen my name too, but d line was off, so she decided to checked for me cuz she has my details already....she checked and saw mine out too.... that Sunday night not knowing Senate list is already out, just picked my mum phone and dial Enny's num to ask how far about update..... with her tiny voice "Ayyyyyyyy where have u been? ur name is out and mine is also out" I thought she was joking until I called a friend on phone to check for me on his phone....few minutes back FRANK called and said "Guy na True ur name don come out" see jubilation in my heart (Finally)......So d next day which was on Monday August 6 Registration commenced.... Anyone following Before I continue...... 2 Likes |

I called my friend on phone "Enny" to appreciate her on that Monday morning for showing caring and faithfulness to me on that Sunday night....and she replied on phone "A.y wo forget about that joor" And I asked her about her States of choice.... she was confused on the state to choose, so I told her to choose Lagos, Abuja, Jigawa and Anambra....she listened to me, so me when getting to cyber cafe for my registration the newtork was damn shit..... I got all my states of choice during my registration, meanwhile I told Enny to choose my states of choice.... after my registration I called Enny "how far" she told me she was unable to fill all the states I asked her to fill, told me Lagos and Abuja didn't appear.... I said really? He replied yes and I told her all mine appeared and she was suprised and said I'm lucky.... only relationship we had is "Jigawa" cuz she filled Plateu, Delta, Jigawa and Oyo, I questioned her why she choosed Delta istead of Anambra she said she thought I mentioned Delta.... meanwhile our plan is to be posted to the same state, tho we know say na luck lol... a week after which was on Friday, call-up letter came out and guess what? Do we eventually posted to the same state or not? |

We were waiting at the park deliberating on what to do....Tho our plan is to board the first Bus which will take Off around 12pm, 2nd bus to be take off 3pm while the last bus which is the Third bus do take off 6pm/night bus.... meanwhile people already booked ticket online during weekend and that really scattered our plan, So Enny and Mariam bought ticket for the second bus with different sit number, I told Enny that day "I won't like to waste my time here while standing and looking, let me take a move to Yaba Lagos or Ido Park for another alternative and you girls should be going we would meet safely at Jigawa camp" and Enny asked me to wait first, she saw a Mallam and moved closer to him they started talking, me observing them from far distance and Enny waved at me to come, so I got closer to them then we explained things to the Mallam, even telling the Mallam that we are brother and sister lol, so the Mallam told us to calm that he would slot ticket for us, the next 5min the Mallam called me and gave me ticket, I was surprised then I paid him 9k instead of #8,550 the Mallam wanted to reject it but I said No, willingly from my heart....he smiled and appreciated me, we exchanged numbers, one thing I like about Hausa people is that they are Loyal and Honest. After gotten the ticket we were happy and smiling we are Traveling together dream coming true, but my ticket number is 21 while Enny ticket number is 43, when we noticed that both of us aren't happy for like 2min cuz we won't be sitting together, so we rushed to meet this Mallam again, ooh sorry I don't mention his name, His name is "Ibrahim" so we rushed to meet Mallam Ibrahim to help us to resolve the issue so he said we should calm that he would talk to the bus coordinator, it's already past 12pm, the first bus is not even ready to move due to delayed in maintenance, so I and Enny were chilling at the bus park discussing and gisting about our school life, where we sat One fine, fair and Tall girl came closer and asked if we can adjust for her, we did not knowing this girl is also traveling to Jigawa too, few minutes back, Mariam came and said this is already 12:40pm and the first bus has not even taken off to Kano, and we are boarding the second bus when are we getting to Jigawa now, na wa oooo....and the yellow girl replied "haaaa so u people are also traveling to Jigawa?" And we replied Yes...she smiled and said Thank God she has found traveling partners so she introduced her self to us with the school she graduated from, Her name is "Ruth" so we all became one family and friends, started discussing about the journey and how we heard what people says about the camp by tagging it as the Best camp in Nigeria which is True, Good facilities, structure, neat environment, standard electricity plus space for charging in each hostel etc... it's already 1:20pm the first bus started warming up people already onboard, so we went to meet Mallam Ibrahim again for reminder he said don't worry you are sitting together and we said "Ok thanks" so the first bus took off around 2pm....in summary it's already 5pm everyone started loading their loads under the Bus load keeper Pardon me don't know how dem dey call am lol, the Bus is Luxurious bus ooo, not those small white bus o lolz.... so they started calling ticket number, so they called my ticket number before Enny and Mariam so I sat very close to the front, while Enny and Mariam sat at the back when they called them in....so Mallam Ibrahim came in started talking to the bus coordinator, ol boi dis man no gree ooo tho they are both speaking Hausa language, me just dey look dem like Arsene Wenger, meanwhile Enny has already standup from her sit at the back to sat beside me cuz the sit is empty, didn't know what happened to the owner of the sit, finally the man Ibrahim was pleading with accepted...so I and Enny smiled and Enny waved at Mariam and Ruth who were sitting at the back and they waved back to us with smiles, the bus took off around 6pm.....2nd bus ooo we don't even know the time the 3rd bus took off..... So what happened in the bus during our Night traveling |
