Guys it is official, Mikel has taken a sabbatical leave from the national team duties and our mumu coach is doing nothing to inject new players in his position. This Rohr is damne clueless. Very very annoying thing. Gernot Rohr; “Mikel told me that he will tell me when he will be ready to come back. He didn’t tell me yet. So I wait,” “I hope that we can go with him to Afcon and win it for him.” |

Efe Ambrose Excited As Rohr List Him Among Super Eagles Options Ahead South Africa Tie October 29, 201801251 Hibernian of Scotland defender Efe Ambrose says the recognition given to him by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr base on his performance for his club this season has encouraged him to keep his dream of representing Nigeria once again alive. Ambrose has fallen out of favour since the Franco-German coach took over two years ago but the coach revealed last week that he is keeping tabs on the recently turned 30 years old, who has been ever present for Hibernian this season. Although the coach expressed his satisfaction with the options available to him now in central defence, he however said he will consider the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner if any of his options fail to meet up with required standards in the future. The statement which was contained in an interview granted by the coach last week has drawn a reaction from Ambrose, who thanked the manager for his recognition before saying he is focused on working hard to ease his return to the national team. ” To be honest, I didn’t see it coming even though I feel like I deserve a chance to stake a claim base on my form for Hibernian. I’m grateful and I won’t stop working hard to ease the decision of handing me a recall “, Ambrose told Owngoalnigeria.com. Osas Mahawi —OGN |

This is what you get when some players start feeling very comfortable like a starting shirt is their birthright. Na Rohr I blame. Let the players know day 1, that they have to prove to you again and again that they deserve to start. tbaba1234: 1 Like |

Rohr's Explanation For Dropping Onazi Might Not Convince Super Eagles Fans Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has sensationally claimed that Trabzonspor midfielder Eddy Onazi was omitted from the roster for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa plus the friendly with Uganda because of concerns about his fitness. It would be recalled that the holding midfielder withdrew from the squad that faced Libya earlier this month due to injury, only for him to return to Turkey and be given a clean bill of health. The 25-year-old has figured for Trabzonspor in all their matches since returning to Turkey and was exceptional in the 1-1 draw with Antalyaspor last weekend. ''Onazi had a problem with injury. He left Uyo before the match against Libya [earlier this month],'' Rohr told Kwese ESPN. "I have to be aware of the health of our players. We didn't want to do injections on Achilles tendons before the games." Rohr named only three holding midfielders in the squad for the upcoming matches. They are Oghenekaro Etebo, John Ogu and Mikel Agu. Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi was not called up after receiving a yellow card, his second in the AFCONQ, in the closing minutes of Nigeria's 3-2 win over Libya in Sfax. Pls what is the difference between Mikel's situation and Moses' situation? As for me,I see none. One decided to focus on club and family duties and so did the other. Yet some people keep bashing and mocking Moses especially since he hasn't been getting games. Or is cos one 'retired' and the other is on 'leave'? Both of them are absent from the national team so I don't see any difference. For all we know,Mikel could wake up tomorrow and decide to retire too. We never can tell. What happens then? . This unfair treatment towards Moses by pained individuals definitely needs to stop. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Chelsea Goalkeeper Of Nigerian Descent Kelechi Gets England Call-Up Published: October 30, 2018 Promising Chelsea goalkeeper Kelechi Chibueze is set to add to his international caps after he was invited to the England U16 squad by manager Kevin Betsy for the Val-de-Marne Tournament this week. Chibueze was part of the Chelsea U16 squad that lost to Manchester City in the final of the Premier League International Tournament on October 21. Born December 2003, he is eligible to turn out for Nigeria's youth teams through his father. He was a non-playing substitute in the Young Lions opening match of the Val-de-Marne Tournament against hosts France on Tuesday afternoon. England face Austria (November 1) and Japan (November 3) and Chibueze would be hoping he is picked ahead of Reading goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke in at least one of the games. England U16s beat France 3-1 in their opener with Louie Barry (West Brom), Jude Bellingham (Birmingham), Charlie Patino (Arsenal) writing their names on the score-sheet. Igho Kingsley —ANS 1 Like |

The November list didn't come as surprise to me. One thing this list and the previous ones have done is that, it continues to show that the man Rohr does not know the way to the promise land. He has contributed immensely to our football by bringing us out of agonizing period of bad football and barrenness, he has brought back the fear factor known with the Super Eagles on the African continent. In short, he has achieved more in few years that he has spent with us. Going forward, I'm afraid to say the man lacks idea(s) to improve the SE. We might continue to win our African opponents and even go on to win AFCON 19. But truth be told, the farthest his revolution will take us is just a football orgasm and we will be back again to the drawing board. Note: why do some people get emotional and attack others for stating their opinions. Just saw where Mickael2 was attacked for writing off the team’s chances against SA. On paper, with the thin midfielders we will be parading, we don't stand a chance and every reasonable pundits will never give the Eagles a walkover over the southies. Not forgetting that they whipped our ass right there at our backyard. We all hope the team wins. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Earthquake1: Brilliant tactician but needs a lot of time to get his philosophy across. Sometimes people forget he worked with the likes of Isco, Thiago, Koke since their teens before he got them operating telepathically. If he comes, we need to brace ourselves for hard years before the fruit. 1 Like |

COOL10:The difference here is: Moses announced that he has retired! He did so at just 27. While Mikel hasn't announced his retirement and don't forget he is 31 and just getting back from injury. So his is reasonable! No one will bash Mikel if he decides to retire today. He has paid duly to the service of his nation. Note: before you go on to tag me as 'hater' or 'pained', I have always supported both players. Messi decided to retire from international football on the backdrop of 2014 worldcup at 27. His countrymen bashed him and called him all sorts of names(one of which was a - weakling) which later forced him to rescind his decision. He came back and led his country to the world cup. I'm sure Moses case won't be an exception. 3 Likes |

Good list. However, what is that unkown home based player doing on the list? Is it another chop I chop arrangee because I don't think he's the best player in the NPFL. Anyway, kudos for adding Samuel Chuchwueze on the list. No Jupiter can disagree or complain on top did one because he deserved it. But if I hear phem. However, I am still trying to phantom the speed at which the coach gave Osimhen a call just because he scored 6 goals in the same Belgium Pro league we saw players done better than him in the same Belgium pro league last season. Is this not bias selection or selective selection of players? Man no man and agent connection? Na wa 1 Like |

forgiveness: Chuks was selected due to his dynamism(left foot) as compared to the other wingers at our disposal. Rohr had to settle for him because the game came too early for Ojo. Yes Chuks is good but he is just starting, hence, I say his invite was hurried. Ojo to me, is more ready since he has played professional football for about 3yrs+, if only he didnt need any paper works. That said, lets see what Chuks can do About Osimhen...dont really kno what to say here, but I would sacrifice him for a midfielder. At least for now, We already have enough cover in Ighalo, Success and Kelechi. Rohr's call ups sometimes sha 3 Likes 1 Share |
