Bello flag off this road since two years now..... No contractor seen, that boy call Bello is mad....... Bello is the worst governor in this world history, him and his family for relocate to Abuja finally, Lokoja is the worst state capital in Africa right now, Lecturers were last paid in March this year, so it's very easy to pass in kogi own institutions right now cos with 1k u can get a '' C'' in any course. I told people many years back that kogi has the most corrupt politicians in Nigeria. It will surprise all to hear that this same road link idah, the seat of igala kingdom with anyigba, the university town. A friend who is a PA to one traditional ruler in the area narrated how his boss mobilized most prominent rulers from the area especially those that the road traversed through their towns. The went to lobby for the reconstruction of the road which was first constructed by colonial government. According to him, they were all shocked by the revelation on their visit to aso rock. The file for the road was called up after fulfilling all protocols. The file has in it, three reconstruction contract documents,6 each with certificate of completion and payment fully made. Yet the road remains untouched. Most amazing, the contractors were prominent igala sons and daughters who are in the corridor of power over the years. Some were senators, house members, and others have been aspiring to be governors since advent of this democracy. It is bad that Ibrahim idris awarded contract for the reconstruction but no meaningful work was done on it. Gov wada only paid lip service, extend the length by a few km. Yahaya bello has been struggling even to pay salaries. I wonder where help is going to come from. 4 Likes |
