Most people here don't realize that unless that child stays in the US, the citizenship is a burden. I know folks who came back to Nigeria to work and are required by law to pay taxes in Nigeria and the US. After a while, they return because they end up owing so much in US taxes.

I don't think you are fully right here though I stand to be corrected. Those babies born there have dual citizenship, Nigeria and US, and it will now be their choice to claim any of the citizenship for their gain if they started working. Say they grew up and started working in Nigeria, don't expect them to pay 30% tax to the US for also being US citizen, they can simply work in Nigeria and claim their Nigerian citizenship without any obligation to the US.

Just like footballers, Dele Ali, David Alaba and co, they have dual citizenship, but they all chose to claim the citizenship of choice which are UK and Austria and they totally owe Nigeria no business even if for example say Nigeria receives tax from their citizens working abroad like the US.

It's all about diplomacy and choice when you have dual citizenship.

Citizenship by birth is not a choice. The US is the only country I know of that requires it's citizens working outside the country to pay tax so any child born in the US would have to pay taxes to the US irrespective of where they work and reside unless they renounce their US citizenship.

1) So first point of action I think he will do is to set the ball rolling by executive order.
2) All hell breaks loose and many go to court.
3) Courts can't decide so they throw it back to legislative
4) Gbam, 14 th amendment becomes shaky. Cos repubs have majority, it's changed.
5) Executive order becomes an act of legislature and law.

NB: It will take them minimum 18 months to accomplish. It's probably what they have wanted all along cos am sure they know they won't be voted back.
