Lol they bleeped him up bad. Firstly he was allowed to complete the year the failed every and asked to repeat. Then he was called for panel one year later and dashed 2 years rusticstion.

There are smarter and more effective sanctions
1. Ask the student to leave and or get security to remove him.
2. Dock him some marks or worst case suspend or expel him.
Wrestling with students is crude.

In law he exposes himself to a charge of

True I accept what you've stated so far.... but doesn't change the Bold fact that you're not allowed to use a phone during Lecture hours in most schools unless you're permitted to..... but for the same.... you simply give it to the lecturer.... once his time expires.... you immediately request for the seized property to avoid any misunderstanding.... Sure you said The lecturer should have sent him out.... good.... but it is a private school not a public school.... Private lecturers are different from Public lecturers.....
