Insults on this forum is really getting out of hand. We should learn to respect people's opinions without attacking their personality. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It is said that a forum where one used to read about upcoming talents and team news with so much intellectual input has now turned to a typical nairaland forum. What is most painful is to see the regular people who made this forum interesting drag themselves to insulting one another. We have even reduced ourselves to choosing players in our national team and attacking others as if they are not playing for the same team. What happens with this is that we learn little from each other and eventually lose focus. There was a reason why Sir Joseph started this thread, the SUPER EAGLES! and it's development into another era. Please let us respect one another. 16 Likes 1 Share |

The contention is that I used the word, start. In actual sense and based on the argument I have been making, there should be no comfortable spot for any player whether on the bench or in a starting role UNLESS the player justifies his spot consistently. This should have been instilled prior to the World Cup — that’s a team built with excellence as the watchword. Onazi didn’t deserve to go to the WC in the first place, going by his latest matches before the WC. I reiterate, I no blame am. Na Rohr I blame BascoVanVeli: 2 Likes |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by tbaba1234: 7:43pm On Oct 30, 2018 |
andrew444: Awoniyi scored 7 goals in over 20 league games in the league last season. Awoniyi has not scored at all this season in the league after 10 games. Osimhen already has 5 goals in 7 league games. The invitation might be early for Osimhen but i do not think Awoniyi has done enough so far to force the coach's hand. Rohr clearly likes Osimhen so it is not surprising that he is getting called up. 8 Likes |

tbaba1234: I never meant awoniyi should be invited now bro I am making an example with last season okay, and when awoniyi was scoring those goals he was not even considered Osimhen has 1 cap during is Wolfsburg stint and he didn't even score a single goal for Wolfsburg then ,so you can see what I am saying ? Even if awoniyi has osimhen form right now he will never be considered Even when onyekuru was tearing Belgium apart he was not even invited quickly 6 Likes 1 Share |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Nobody: 7:56pm On Oct 30, 2018 |
Certitude: Babayaro is the most successful LB from Nigeria in Europe. Played Chelsea and Newcastle and held his own. TT played well in Marseille yes, played for a team battling relegation in the EPL and had his career head downhill with AC milan. I don't know how that is better than Babayaro, the fine boy ladies man. |

Taliban: Tt is better than babayaro, so because person play for Chelsea meaning he is the most successful lb? Babayaro also played for relegation threatened Newcastle Is it not the same babayaro that was sacked by la galaxy at the age of 29 ? Babayaro will be lacing boots at ac Milan Babayaro was playing for an average Chelsea team Una think say Chelsea na Man U or Arsenal then ? 1 Like |

andrew444: Babayaro had serious injury challenges at the end of his career. This is what affected him the most. There was a time, he was out for more than a year. I think, he was the most technically gifted/skilful left back. Taiwo was also very talented . 3 Likes |

tbaba1234: Fair talk Agree with you Mind you if Taiwo was constitent in the eagles like Joseph yobo and enyeama he should be boasting of 110 caps by now ,he last played for the eagles 6 years ago and got 54 caps Go and check the top 20 highest goal scoring defenders in football and you will find TT there |

tbaba1234:7 goals in 20 games is not too good for a striker playing in the Belgian league(a league known for having poor defence).Onyekuru who played for Eupen as a LWF had 25 goals last 2 seasons in that same league but S.Moses kept on receiving call-ups ahead of him.He was even the top scorer in the league before he got injured. |

EEGA: Simeon was already in the SE before Rohr took over so it's only natural for him to have been considered ahead of Onyekuru. Rohr doesn't rate the Belgian league high IMO. Every season we have players from the league that perform well but they hardly get called up.and even when they do,they don't play.. Even Ndidi didn't become a regular until he moved to Leicester... Osimhen invitation must be because Rohr likes him...And I don't think that's bad...every coach has a favorite player.... |

kentebemoney:he scrapped two wins against Libya recently. Escaped by the skin of his teeth The team might not be so lucky against formidable opponents like SA, we need to keep Rohr and the boys oh their toes. Please, I heard that Adeleye guy that was called up in defence has not kicked a ball in four months. Who is recommending these home based players for Rohr? 1 Like |

AIG07:. Mikel is fit,my brother. He even scored in his last match. I respect Mikel a lot but no matter how you wanna sugarcoat it,he's decided to prioritize Club duties over National duties. That makes his case very similar to Moses'. The only defining factor is the word 'retired'. Moses has also paid his dues. Whether he did it with complete loyalty or 'nonchalance',his contributions to the team can never be overemphasized. So give him his due accolades. I understand your other points though. 1 Like |

safarigirl: First match was a comprehensive win,2nd close one? Yes. Should we demand more? Yes. However I think we are doing fine, we've played important matches without the mikel's and onazi's (old generation) . we are making a transition and winning games (this used to be a problem). We can only get better. The adeleye guy? Na godfather things. 2 Likes |
