According to reports, a hardcore pro-Biafran supporter and member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), David Day has regained his freedom from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The IPOB member and a holder of British passport, was released on Wednesday (today) after five months in DSS Custody.

It was alleged by IPOB that the British government refused to identify him as a citizen for associating with the proscribed group agitating and seeking for the emancipation of Biafra.

His release was aided by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lawyer of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who posed for pictures with him after regaining his freedom.

Trust me....unlike your Nigeria, the UK takes interest in the well being of all its citizens, whether rich or poor!

If as alleged, the UK gov't didn't want to assist him b'cos he identified with IPOB, then there's nothing new here! They're just acting true to type!

You actually think the British gov't would support any initiative that would lead to the dismemberment of their neo-colonial outpost in Africa? Well you can think again! The way they enthroned a more compliant northern oligarchy to take over control of gov't from them when they left in 1960; the support and advice they gave Nigeria during the uncivil war; the whispered advice they gave the north on the implications of leaving Nigeria when said north were sick and tired of 'one Nigeria' and were seriously thinking of telling the south to go screw themselves.....all this points to the fact that they (the UK gov't) are quite prepared to throw morality and fairness out the window when the continued existence of their creation is threatened! wink
