If Buhari can go as far as buying a waec certificate just to increase his chances of re-election, you can be sure he would use the full powers of his office to get re-elected. Personally I had no doubt Buhari would be re-elected. NW and SW have the greatest voting strengths and turn outs. Guess who they're strongly rooting for. Anyway, just focusing on my small Ebonyi state. 1 Like |

oyatz: Any state can actually be developed without too much government funding. Anambra for example can be a well developed state under 6 years with zero allocation. All I need as a governor are Investors and a strong Law. 3 Likes |

OpenYourEyes1: Our cities should only be developed by recapitalized/large or serious Real Estate developers. People like spyder could be encouraged to merge with other medium size property developers to form a large company. Only the large companies will be allowed to build in cities and they must follow the City's Masterplan.. The state will emphasize more on quality and aethestic. Masterplan will have a more organized and uniform buildings.. Police will be empowered to deal with roadside trading and other city lawlessness. 1 Like |

OpenYourEyes1: This method can be replicated in most sectors (education, health, agric, manufacturing, mining insurance, etc) with pretty good results. We need serious Companies in businesses for more organized and quality work. |

Let us send out a message to all u imposters that have invaded this thread with fake Igbo monikers just to sow discord. U have all failed. The Igbo family is united and we are forging ahead of our adversaries. We cannot be stopped, we will not stop and we will never never look back, onwards together umu-igbo. It is very important that we Igbos learn something from wat have been happening here. One imposter will first of all, write Chino here to create an impression that Chino is here and then u see them posting dirty pictures. That person is an Afonja, using Chino as cover to attack Igbo people. He does not want to come direct becos he knows wat Ibadan looks like. We can always as Ndiigbo agree to disagree but never get carried away to the extent to ridiculing all we share in common. Dalu nu! 4 Likes 1 Share |

Kokolet11: Why would you "hate" Umahi because he does not share your Biafran vision? Which Igbo governor, senator, Reps member or even LGA chairman has a different stand on Biafra from Umahi? Why would he support a fruitless venture that would impoverish his own state which generates barely N5billion a year in IGR? You're the one that will pay his workers' salaries or give him money for projects, abi? You think Governors have the luxury of agitations without practical considerations? 2 Likes |

basilo101: Easy to assert in the abstract. Prevailing realities are very different and the fact remains, in the whole of ala Igbo, no single prominent son running for elective office supports the Biafran cause. I've been asked a few times here what I have done to progress Igbos because I was critical of IPOB. Maybe I should start asking why all these people with their radical solutions don't seem to be running for even their Ward councillorships to make a real difference. Then I would really start believing they have real plans, rather than vague abstractions. 2 Likes |

basilo101: I have no good or bad method cos the Biafran agitation holds no interest for me. I'm far more concerned with the quality of leadership in the SE and holding them to accountability and transparency than pretending the FG is the cause of all our problems. I remember my visit to Aba a few years ago. I was traumatized at the abject level of the infrastructure. A failed state government with successive failed leaders since '99 is responsible for that and not Abuja. One of the biggest failures about the Biafran agitation is failure to look inwards before looking outwards. I followed the Catalonia and Scottish independence movements. Both being the most prosperous administrative regions in their countries, they were motivated by the fact they were putting in more to the national accounts than they were getting from the center. They were highly successful local governments who didn't want to keep on subsidizing failed zones with their hard-earned money. Biafran agitators overlook the massive failures of their SE governments, and their Federal representatives who failed to put the region's interests first in national politics. Failures in infrastructure. Failures in attracting investment. Failures in economic vision and administrative efficiency (where a state like Anambra still generates less than N20 billion a year in IGR). I wish I could say we've done our part and the FG is holding us back, but we haven't. Not even close. If the political revolution doesn't start with domestic politics, it is ignoring the real problems to chase ghosts. IPOB supporters in a state like Ebonyi or Abia for example ignoring their local problems to be railing against the "zoo" is no different from having people from Zamfara or Yobe blaming their problems on the FG. 3 Likes |

So since this is a thread we celebrate Our Igbo pride and fashion ideas for better future. I'm thinking it's time we acknowledge modern Igbo musicians in the Nigerian music industry, selling IGBO language mixed with English in form of music, to the rest of the world. Phyno, Tekno, Runtown, Flavour, Patoranking, Zoro. These are our top men. 5 Likes |
