I'm a foreign candidate. I did my exemption online registration and my question is that, & since then i didnt hear any information from nysc. is it compulsory for me to go to Abuja for certificate? thanks

Please I wanted to register for NYSC but my year of graduation I saw at the portal was 2010 whereas I graduated last year. I tried to put 2013 as the year I gained admission but they rejected it. The owner of the cafe then asked me to backdate the year I gained admission which I did. I had to put 2007 as the year I was admitted before they accepted it. Please would it affect me during registration in camp? Or is there any way I can correct it??

First, there is no effect as things will go smoothly.

Secondly, it would have been better you corrected it before online reg submission(even tho that might lead to not going with this batch) because it can only be corrected from school (the mistake was made from the school).

To sum it up, there will be no effect during camp registration. But do endeavor to complain in camp, if that can be corrected, for record purpose.

If you qualify for it, after completing the registration it will show on your nysc profile. And all other details will be communicated to you on your profile

Those who graduated from institutions outside Nigeria, (foreign-trained graduates), are to come with the following documents:
1. West African School Certificate(WASCE) (with not less than 5 credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent,
2. General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ level) (with not less than 5 credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent,
3. NECO (with not less than 5 credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent
4. High school diploma or its equivalent.
