Chino going with your logic we will now tag Gozie Okeke and Njideka Okeke and other countless musicians from Anambra as inferior because they are using the Izugbe langauge? Whatever happened to your sense. 1 Like |

Chino good nite. Stop turning every topic to dialalect debate. Pidgin igbo is inferior street dialect with no formal usage |

I have been following this thread but let me just drop my comment. I know that the bone of contention of the argument is the addition of another state in the SE. But I suggests that if they want to create another state then it should be anioma state with asaba as the capital. No need of creating another state in the other 5 eastern state to avoid confusion and identity problems. Thank you peziena for your contributions in this thread. Your contribution to the Igbo unity and your comments about the problem and solution facing us as a nation in this country are second to none. My God bless you! IBU NWAFOR IGBO 2 Likes |

GuyWise: They are using Izugbe to sing in Anambra dialects. Isnt Gozie a ffaggot? Meanwhile, the style of their singing like the words and their context are deeply Anambra. Otimgbodomgbo is purely Anambra. I am very busy guys |

Why do Anambra people always seem to be the ones ignorant of the dialect diversity. You people are sometimes too dense. 1 Like |

pazienza: About a day ago, i was all in favour of giving PSquare a few hard knocks for not promoting their Igbo heritage as much as they should. However i'm easing off on them a bit after reading a post on here by someone who i'm suspecting is either one of the twins or their brother Jude for how he was vociferously supporting them. I'd say that the Nigerian music scene was highly 'yorubanised' some 7 to 8 years ago, and this can be said to be as a consequence of the 'Lagos factor'. But in the last 4 to 5 years, you'd probably agree with me that it's become a bit more equalised and complimentary between the two major ethnic groups in question...esp' with the rise of musicians like Tekno and Davido who have lines in their songs sang in Yoruba and Igbo respectively. Teknos' RARA readily comes to mind here, as well as Davidos' monster hit FALL, in which he used some Igbo words. I reckon a large number of people the world over would have quickly googled the meaning of a few Igbo words based on the lines in FALL: 'nne, they want to spoil our marketi oh', and 'biko, sorry oh baby take hearti oh...sorry oh baby take hearti oh'! Also, we've witnessed quite a lot of collabos between Yoruba and Igbo musicians of recent; like the one between Phyno and Olamide. Finally, quite a number of nice Igbo and Yoruba songs have been sung by musicians of the opposite ethnicity. Two good examples are attached below : BIANU - Tunde and Wunmi Obe (T.W.O) Ft. Floss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC68zSa_r3k Sunny Neji - Oruka [Official Video] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxGkcYbvZU8 2 Likes |

pazienza: Pazienza, the point you raised is the result of external interests/forces stoking the embers of division amongst Ndigbo for selfish reasons, chief of which are: to maintain their grip on Niger-Delta oyel and gas; to prevent the more vocal and aware Igbos of the south-east from 'infecting' their brothers in the south-south with their ideas; to deny Ndigbo access to the sea; to deny Ndigbo full use of their God-given hydrocarbon resources out of pure hate and jealousy; etc-etc-etc! The Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani are lucky not to have such malevolent external forces looking to divide them and do them harm like we have, and hence it appears as if they're more united than we are! 1 Like |

arinzeejikonye: The use of solar-panels is quite commendable, though i don't know how reliable they are as the main energy source in a huge building like the one shown in the pics! Also, the last pic shows how we're opening up new areas in our suburbs without the requisite planning to go with it! The drone-shot view in that last pic is alarming in it's show of lack of planning to say the least! 3 Likes |

Ebonyi Score card By Hon Francis Agwu. Watching the YouTube clip, and seeing the before-and-after pics at the beginning, i just had to wonder what exactly other Governors were doing from 1999-2015! At 7.18, mention was made of the huge recycling plant the state gov't is building that would create wealth out of waste and see the state even collecting waste from neighbouring states to recycle; 7.43 shows the ongoing ecumenical centre, billed to be the largest in the country on completion; and 8.07 shows the stage ongoing construction has reached on the shopping mall which the reporter says was 'designed to be the largest in Africa'. Anyone else making these claims, and i've have written them off as noise makers, but with this Umahi guy.....for the first time i'm starting to have confidence in a state governors assertions! Lets' keep our fingers crossed! Xander85: Yeah Yeah, Adamma hostel in Owerri. With a solar capacity of 115.2KWp, generating 460.8KWh per day, 168.2MWh, and powering about 150 rooms. #SolarEnergy I have been a fan of of femi from inception, he knows his onions. True that nwannem, that's nonchalance and lackadaisical on the part of government, proper planning and strict adherence to masterplan should have been considered before demarcations are done preparatory to erection of structures, Gonna be looking out for urban regeneration in the nearest future.
