Why does this only happen to Igbo groups. Why are we this too clannish.
Yorubas in Kogi don't behave that way. And Yorubas in SW don't hold tenaciously to their state tags like Ndiigbo do.
The Hausas in NW are same Hausas in NE and NC, No distinction.

It looks like we are always in constant look out for things to hold unto to emphasize distinction from our fellow Igbos. We are too easy to uphold artificial identities.

Look at how Tinubu( from Osun), Ambode (from Ondo) are ruling Lagos, and Aworis are not crying , swearing and threatening the rest of Yorubas. But just Nzimiro mayorship of Ph, was too much for Ikwerres to endure.

I'm beginning to think that Igbo unity project is a waste of time. Maybe it's about time I gave up and spent my time on other useful ventures.

It's a general problem among Nigeria tribes from my observation. The disunity seems to stop once a sunni islamist is ruling over them.

Man look at the arguments of the tribal lunatics above. Do they make sense to you?
Just out of nowhere when everything is becoming calm and brotherly...

I think they will keep trying until the dajjal controlled sunni religion is ruling over the entire region (God forbid).

Ebonyi Score card By Hon Francis Agwu.

Watching the YouTube clip, and seeing the before-and-after pics at the beginning, i just had to wonder what exactly other Governors were doing from 1999-2015!

At 7.18, mention was made of the huge recycling plant the state gov't is building that would create wealth out of waste and see the state even collecting waste from neighbouring states to recycle; 7.43 shows the ongoing ecumenical centre, billed to be the largest in the country on completion; and 8.07 shows the stage ongoing construction has reached on the shopping mall which the reporter says was 'designed to be the largest in Africa'. wink

Anyone else making these claims, and i've have written them off as noise makers...but with this Umahi guy, for the first time i'm starting to have confidence in a state governors assertions! Lets' keep our fingers crossed! smiley

I guess it is good to be hopeful. Sometimes, that is all we have in life. I'm just waiting for the day you people cross lines and, by your own hands, dismantle the "Igbo unity" you are trying so hard (and so desperately) to defend.
Yes, they will dismantle it or should I say that they have started already to dismantle the Igbo unity with the way they keep disregarding the different Igbo history and origin in winch they keep forcing their Eri/Nri centric school of thought on others .

The biggest danger to this road is overuse. Due to the impassable conditions of the Federal government express road at Onyeama mines road, the whole vehicles going to Awka, Onitsha, and Lagos now ply this only road. Our only saving grace is the road barrier stopping heavy trucks from using the Miliken hills. If not, this road will not last for a year.

Don't make the mistake of thinking this is a city, because it's not. This place is Amaeke Ngwo, a village more than 10 miles away from Enugu city.

This picture is deceptive. You see a place looking like a forest, get down on this villages and notice that there is no space for buildings as most compounds are having up to 4 buildings, old and new. I have been in this villages hundreds of times ............

Okwe village, Amankwo, Akama, Uwani Uboji, Amauba, Amon (same Amon mentioned in the Bible is a village in Ngwo!), I greet you all........... wink

Dont be ignorant, Igbo was never one entity before the whites arrived. It was just recently that Anambra started marrying from Imo, before it can never happen.

Let's celebrate Igbo disunity. grin

Do you know that the first Igbo Bible was written in Anambra dialect, Onitsha precisely?

Look at the most powerful man from Nsukka but he dare not speak Nsukka dialect in public but chose to speak Anambra dialect. Shame Shame.

He doesn't care. His mission here is to do the opposite of everything you just said using his over 40 nairaland accounts. Everyone should learn to ignore him but the problem is that people dont.

Even if you open a new Igbo thread and leave this one alone for him, he will come to that one with new accounts. We just have to ignore him but i notice some people just love going back and forth with him.

Again , you should know better,we have a different social organization from the yoruba, and I hope it remains so. I dont want to be an Imo governor neither do I want an Imollite to govern Anambra. And yes , Igbo unity project is a danm waste of time. The smartest thing is to to return home and join hands to build Anambra and from there we can dispatch.

Ew unto you. Are you actually Igbo or an imposter

Those of you that have access to Peter Obi should let him know that, Adada State creation is a necessary evil to get our Igbo people out of the middle-belt.

That way, we can know wen fulani harm, them.

Adada state is a priority over any State being created in the SE zone.

Are you surprised my brother? Don't be. They are simply suffering from inferiority complex that's all. Leave them to their fate.

I haven't had time to follow this thread recently, but believe me, I know the "notice-me"s who just believe they should keep blaring about their states in order to appear superior. Let them be jaare.

If Igbo should divide, people like them are responsible for it.

Chai!

They are greedy, shameless and have little or no respect for self and ethnicity!

It's exactly because we've had these type of self-serving scum directing affairs in Alaigbo and representing us at the centre since the end of the uncivil war that we've seen ourselves and our region being cheated and treated by others as an inconsequential irritant that can be ignored and marginalised! They're always quick to want to curry favour with the northern oligarchs for the few crumbs that will be thrown to them!

How many core northern muslims or Yoruba do you see going to bow before the Obi of Onitsha at his palace, or have their state governors rush to the airport to welcome him to their states?

Rubbish! sad
