Most Kenyans have at least 1 bank account.I have three.
In Kenya most banks have zero charges for keeping an account idle forever(KCB,Coop,CBA) or for up to 6 months after which one is charged sh 200 to reactivate.
Most banks except the multinationals have no minimum balance requirements.
Unlike Nigeria whose banking rules are like Kenya 's in 2003.

Nigeria use mobile banking too but it's integrated with banks and telcos unlike d case in Kenya where they still send and receive money through text messages and agents.

Nigeria is in digital banking era but our east African brothers are still stucked with mpesa.

What I love more about Kenya is the quicker way of doing things... SGR target was 2022 but it's already achieved, oil shipments was to happen in 2021 now it'll be mid 2019...

To be honest,the last time Kenya was stricken with severe drought and hunger was back in 2011 until of late there has been rare cases related to starvation,this has been attributed by improved agriculture in the northern arid regions and devolution too has helped alot here.
