LaaJiblik: Thanks for your response. Please, If I top up my account next to meet up the required sum, is it advisable I add yesterday's balance to the 28 days? Or will I have to start from when I meet up with the required sum? I'm in a big dilemma right now. |

law001:you have to start the 28days count from the day or a day after the money reaches the required amount. 1 Like |

A day after required balance is reached is better to avoid any blurred lines in the count. kaad: |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by mimilyrics: 6:58pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
Start over. Start the day after the full amount is deposited into your account. This is important because only the opening statement for the day after will show that you have the required amount on the first day of your count. Eg. On the day you deposit the required amount in your account, only your closing balance reflects the said amount. Your opening balance on any day is the cumulative sum in your account the previous day. law001: |

mimilyrics: Thanks a lot. I'll have to pay additional tuition fee so that my account balance will be in tune with the required sum. Next step... VISA processing. I hereby book a space for further enquiries in 28 days time. Lol. Thanks all. |

First off, you need to know what course you want to study. A degree scholarship isnt a course. Secondly, run a Google search on schools that offer your course choice. Thirdly, identify what scholarship options are offered by the school for those courses. You can also check for external scholarships too. Once you find a school that suits your purposes, apply for admission via their website/ online application portal, apply for scholarship after you get admitted (some require your scholarship application during your admission process), pay your deposit (if it applies to you), Ensure to have your tuition balance plus maintenance costs in your account for 3 months or more before your resumption (this covers the CAS processing and visa application periods) /confirmed scholarship awards that cover your school and maintenance fees. You only get your CAS starting from 3 months before your course resumption date and this entails details about your course, your qualifications and tuition. Armstrong34: |

Hello FAM, Please could anyone simply throw more light in the following issues. 1. I'm at the moment in the UK on a Tier 4 visa. 2. I have just recently completed my masters in Economics Sept 2018. 3. I have got plans to do another masters either in Data Science or MBA which apparently aligns with my ealier masters. Is this enough to satisfy Career Progression? 4. Should I apply for the Visa in the UK or go back and apply from Nigeria given the fact that my visa still valids for 3months. If yes, should I follow the same procedure and requirements in application and how long is the Visa process? 5. Thanks for you anticipated response and God bless you! |

Its common saying that after study, the Uk govt sends the individual back to his/her home country. However, I want to ask this question. Is it true that if You graduate with a first class over there in UK, you will be retained and not sent back? |

Armstrong34:1st: This is not a thread for Germany or Canada. 2nd: You need to calm down, sit down and do a thorough research on Google with all the keywords you mentioned. I really don't know much about Engineering Bachelors' program that offers scholarships but you could search and find out. 3rd: Have you thought about studying in Nigeria? International Oil companies, Local Oil firms offers scholarships especially to Year 1 and Year 2 engineering students till the end of their schooling, so you could look at that or you can apply for the Federal Government Bilateral Education Agreement B.Sc Study programs to countries like Russia, Hungary, China, Germany et al. The university will need to confirm that your new course (MBA) support your career aspirations. You may be asked for evidence to demonstrate that you are pursuing a career in this field. Once your university confirms this and issues you a CAS, you can apply within the UK. So basically it's up to the University to confirm it's truly a career progression as they need to state this with UKVI. Question1: |

apostlejuly: A PhD takes about 3-4 years. Getting a PhD offer can take between 3-6 months depending on the school. I will advise you contact faculty members of area of interest in advance, it makes the application faster as the faculty member can help shape your proposal and once supervisor is gotten for your research, then getting your offer is beans. Try to apply to atleast 4 schools, especially to get grants. I am speaking from experience. 1 Like |

apostlejuly: Start now applying to schools within your research preferences, depending on some schools you could get it done with two months since you are still in the UK. The rest of the question is available on the school website |

Please I greet una!! Supposing I was able to justify the reason for applying for second masters in Data Science, and the University deems it fit to issue my admission and CAS number. Would I still have issue convincing the ECO about my academic progression when I apply for the visa, given the fact that I finished Sept 2018. Or the University will settle it with UKVI? NB: I had my first MSc in Economics, now contemplating between Msc Data Science or MBA. I love the two courses but I prefer DS because of the recent waves in Data handling and insight creation, trust me DS is groundbreaking and My MSc Economics was Just an eye opener of how Data can impact business, economics, finance, product and services.. Plus higher potential salary motivates me too!! But how do I stand chance of convincing the ECO given that my university was willing to admit me due to my numerical and programming skills. Do you advice I apply the Visa from Nigeria or the UK as the school resumes January!! CCCCCCC: @Justwise, LaaJiblik and Mimilyrics, Mamathemama, et al., Question1: |

Question1: Try it . It’s either you will be given, or denied. You sha get plenty money. Wanting to go for a second Masters. If the ECO asks you why you are wanting to spend that much money for a Masters after a Masters what will you say? If the ECO asks you what are your plans upon completing your studies in the UK what will you say? |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 7:26pm On Nov 07, 2018 |
Guy, It will be stated on CAS that it's academic progression. As long as you dey do am inside UK, there's usually no interview as it is the school that needs convincing. Go to the school department and verify with them if it's truly academic progression. I know people who's gone through with no issues whatsoever provided you meet the financial requirements. In as much as you are personally convinced, it is progression and if it does make sense to you, then you should be able to convince the ECO too. Then make sure you forward your application to the home office before your current student visa expires, because if not, you will have to come back to Nigeria to apply Question1: |
