Even James Obiorah was ahead of Ebiede in that number 10 Pecking order.

Obiorah came later to the Super Eagles to the best of my knowledge. Ebiede reigned before Obiorah in the Super Eagles context and I doubt Obiorah was in the picture before Carlsberg Cup. If Obiorah was ahead, he would have played ahead of Ebiede in the Carlsberg Cup.

Hope you know Obiorah was a stand out performer with the Eaglets team of 1995. He was viewed as a brighter prospect than Ebiede even though he was younger.

Being a good assistant coach is a good pathway to becoming a good coach. Ask Mourinho. Other backroom staff that did well are Villas-Boas and Brendan Rodgers.
Ask the rene guy at man united who many claimed was the reason behind Ferguson success at manure.
As for AVB - he reinforces my point a bit. VERY poor man manager who tends to overcomplicate simple things.
We're talking of a guy who thought it was smart to play a high line with John Terry as his CB.

Did u know that both Mikel and Ighalo's clubs are battling real relegations and the CSL season will be ending this month?

AVB had the challenge of dropping Terry. Terry could not play the high line but wanted to be a regular. He was too big to drop on the bench. Why judge Villas-Boas with Chelsea. Judge him with his Porto side which was one of the most ruthless teams in the history of European football that played one of the best breathtaking attacking football. Smashing historical records. As I said, bad patch does not mean poor manager. Unfortunately, most club management are impatient.

Ebiede got the nod for Carlsberg and was the one knocking for a shirt in the France 98 squad. He was quality. I am not trying to knock Obiorah. I am just saying he was a quality talent that fell along the line.

Finito.

I do not know Argentine league in an out. Just a fan of Argentine players and playing style due to my love for skillful Tip tap football. A fan of River Plate, and follow their arch rivals Boca Juniors. Boca Juniors do not play the sleek football of River Plate.

Liked independiente because of Insua (He was in Nigeria 99). But not watched much lately.

A taste of River Plate: Imagine how young Lamela was wearing the #10 shirt of River Plate. Young man should have signed for Barcelona when he had the chance.

I followed little of South American football thanks to Futball America that was aired on NTA in the 1990s.

Argentines have always had incredible skills. The thing is I don't just like Argentines due to what we have suffered in their hands for decades.

I always support any other team that plays against Argentina.

That does not change that Ebiede was a quality talent. Asking who Ebiede is shows he did not know him.

Finito.

Really? Then I don't think they stand a chance. He is their Mikel but they don't have Iwobi. Kekana is a good option but he is not Dean. No wonder supersports united have been losing

I actually did not follow Futbal Americas on NTA then much because the highlights were more of goals than game play. By the time I started following River Plate judiciously, Futbal Americas was long gone. Although I saw Crespo on that Program, I think River Plate too and Marcelo Gallardo too there before my love for River Plate grew.

Might be their tickets back to Europe. Devils advocate could even claim Mikel knows what he is doing

Kekana hasn't been playing that much for MSD this season. His best days are already behind him. He wouldn't have made the list if RSA key players weren't injured. When dey did us strong things, Vilakazi, Andile Jali and Furman ran the midfield. Funny enough, none of those three made the list due to some different reasons.

Yeah, he played it against Seychelles the other day but we are going to face South Africa (a stronger opposition) this time around

Ebeide had serious potential, don't know what happened. Still remember Festus Okuonghae (poor man's Okocha) and Manga Mohammed (Okocha on Steroids). Talents were dripping between 1994-1997. We are getting back to that era gradually.
The standout player in that ayc team was duke udi. A man worshipped in ibadan with 3Sc. So much potential but I think in discipline ended his career in switzerland, plus this was also the era of the okochas, amokachi, kanu etc.

Stuart Baxter is hoping that the Bafana Bafana don't get overconfident against Nigeria. Interesting. November 17 will tell

Taking into consideration the recent form of both teams, the South Africans are right to be scared of us. but we'd be stupid to underrate them again....

Overconfident loll. They keep saying they beat us at home, of course! However, that match became a turning point for our team. It was then Rohr realized the importance of experience. He then brought Ighalo back.
South Africa will be beaten even without Iggy that is if the Success Isaac that played against Newcastle will come to the party.
I was raving for kalu before but Chukwueze is might be the real deal

The followership was almost like that of the Super Eagles. I wonder how TheGoodJoe missed all that.

I was part of the Enyimba back room Crew then.
Waoo Oga Icon, you were part of Enyimba's back room staff back then! Why did you leave?

I have rated Chukwueze from the first match i saw hiim play in the 2015 FIFA U-17 world cup against the USA, I knew the boy was special, I didn't rate Kalu when i started following him when he was in AS Trencin in Slovakia, but now I rate him a bit bit he still has a lot of areas to work on.

Yes he has its just that sundowns rotate alot and they miss Tau and Billiat. Don't forget Themba Zwane who hit the post also a very grateful player on the ball.

Was more like an adhoc staff. I got a regular job completely outside of football so I left.
