Goodday people
Tried powering up my laptop as usual yesterday buh to my dismay I noticed it took longer than usual to move from the HP disply screen to the boot up screen and then all of a sudden it the screen blacked out and displayed "Non system disk or disk error, replace and strike any key when ready"

I've tried all the minor trouble shooting steps I know of and even some made some researches about possible fixes on google buh all to no avail.

Anyone with suggestions, please?

Backup your files ASAP and get another hdd

Hello
Here is a better way;
Go to google, type your systems model in the search bar, then open another TAB and type in "minimum system requirement for online business" or any other thing you want to use your laptop for.

compare both tabs. if your laptop meets the requirements, then its a fit.

Note however that the system should at least meet the requirement and not go below it.

The above guide is software based to check if the system can actually carry out the required tasks

I can not provide any opinion on the hardware since Im not familiar with that brand

*Cheers*

Ok.

Now, using the right arrow key, go to system configuration >>then boot option>> there, you'll find the UEFI and Legacy boot options>> Select the Legacy by moving your arrow keys such that its highlighted then hit the enter key.

Once selected, press F10 to save changes and hit the enter key after highlighting yes.

Your laptop restarts immediately and boots directly.

However some may bring up a screen containing a set of numbers. You are to enter these numbers then hit enter before a successful boot.

Hope this helps

*Cheers*

I don't think there is need for this since the HDD is working and booting into Windows.

Like I told him earlier, get another HDD before it's too late.

Yes you are right.

@Ayomideen, if you're able to successfully boot to Desktop, please backup whatever you can backup. Then plan on getting another HDD ASAP.

Sorry for not including this in my reply...After backup, you may try re-installing the OS...it's a slim chance though.

Getting another HDD still remains your best bet.

gurus in the house...Please, how much will it cost to get a motherboard and change the charging port for this dell inspiron 3521. OR would it be wise to buy a new laptop.
Thanks

Let me try to understand you.

You need a scrap motherboard to change the charging port of this laptop?

If you want the charging port, then you don't need another motherboard for that since the charging port is detachable.

If you need the charging port WhatsApp 08064724259
