You can never know the reason you can only guess Not sure if this would work but u could get a qualified immigration lawyer to assist you in writing a friend of mine did after 4 refusals I don’t know if it would work now hers was in 2016 Never knew this calling after drop box has been since 2017 tot it started this year thanks for not insulting or judging.yes oh they started calling after drop box 2017 January many attributed this to Trump. all i know is that at the queue for interview i came across at least 4 women who previously had babies in the USA, did drop box and was called in for interview. 2 had theirs before me and were refused like me. please could you private chat me the lawyers number. thank you. |

To correct some misconceptions out there. (1) Some Nigerians think when " insurance" pays the process and length of payment is longer . factually incorrect. Pay out is just as quick as the lad paying cash. The process can take a day or two once your claims are verified. (2) just because you paying via insurance does not mean the cost of the service is "cheaper" the hospital still charges the "same cost of service" just like the guy paying cash right away. The only difference is your out of pocket is very small or zero and the insurance company bears 100% or whatever of the cost (I mean that is the risk of their business) |

AfonjaBoston: Hope you understand Healthcare and Security are big businesses (with loads of complexities and intricacies) in the US sha? The people paying this LITTLE and so far renewing their visas world over either through dropbox or via interviews - which of course are in the majority, how then is this happening? Anyways, you will mostly be talking to novices here. Thank God you are on the birthing thread, let's take this your stance there and test it maybe.... |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by AfonjaBoston: 11:11am On Nov 08, 2018 |
OmoBendel24: Yes those two Muthaf***ers have a lot of complexities. The US govt invest heavily in security while the greedy capitalist milk us dry in the health sector. When you say "little" what do you really mean? Cos I know for sure Asians are the biggest beneficiaries of immigration benefits via medical tourism and boy those guys don't pay $3200 for childbirth look up simple videos on YouTube and help yourself on travel channel. Some pay as much as $35 to 40k to birth 1 Like |

OmoBendel24: What exactly are we "testing" ? That insurance pays just as fast as the guy paying cash or the cost of service is "technically same" for the guy paying cash and the insured? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by OmoBendel24: 11:20am On Nov 08, 2018 |
AfonjaBoston: Understood largely though.... I asked, why are they yet renewing for loads of peeps with these your highlighted "deficiencies"? How much do you as an American trust the HCA workings and maybe billings too for instance? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by AfonjaBoston: 11:28am On Nov 08, 2018 |
OmoBendel24: On my soul I do scrutinize my bill.of course never trust anybody will do their job right but I can guarantee you i will vehemently refuse to be taken advantage of or let a medical facility milk me dry because of somebody's "incompetence or shady ways" with due respect Let me tell you a story. One time I had a quote for some form of advanced imaging and the hospital told me my out of pocket was just less than a $1500 I was like how much is the guy paying cash gonna have to pay they said about $5k I called my insurance agent and the novice verified my out of pocket was about that amount when I dug deeper into my account I realized there must have been an error somewhere and the insurance company was either trying to be sneaky or dumb... When my bill came in my mail it was $50 and I felt that was just about right. It all boils down to knowing what service you are paying for , the prices for it and not letting anyone chop you mugu so you do not regret later. I still don't understand the "deficiencies" you talking about |

Guy the problem with Nigerian not getting visas lately is all political, my wife paid $3ooo after birth at a Chicago hospital and equally made payment plans for the balance, but on the flight home to Casablanca she met a lady from Sierra lone that claimed she paid nothing as in nothing at the hospital after delivery. Think this supports the Asian theory sited up there. 1 Like |

boladet: With the recent rate of revocation, I did advice you use your visas first, cos at the interview you might/will be asked why u haven't used it for the earlier stated purpose. It does pinch the vos to revoke visas this days. You might want to weight your options here, and decide what's best for the family. And if you must go for the interview go with the copy of your visa n not your passport, be smart. This is my deduction after so much research on happenings at the embassy right now. 5 Likes |

You are wrong. Interview after Dropbox has ALWAYS been an option at the discretion of the embassy. That has been on the EMBASSY site since inception of Dropbox a few years ago. Those discounts are not simply because you are self-pay. A lot of discounts from certain hospitals in some states are such because they are to cater for the UNINSURED legal residents . It's more than likely that's what Atlantic medicals offered you. So although it's self pay on the back end someone or govt is paying for the difference. Not all discounts are like this for self pay but those with large discounts usually are. Unfortunately most hospitals won't tell you that neither do they know the challenge foreigners on birth tourism have with renewals. Very little you can do....travel somewhere else On a side note US HealthCare is ridiculously expensive which is a topic for another day. 1 Like |

Taal17: Crackdown against Nigerians or other nationalities? If a Nigerian could pay $10000 in child birth and was denial another visa cos of discount of $2000/$3000 which the vo claims he/she doesn't understand why enjoy a discount cos it was a self paid payment. Yet, other countries get their visas renewed even without payment. Nigeria is a target understand that already! 2 Likes |

Hey guys GoodAftn... Been awhile but i been a silent reader... I am abit worried on Dropbox renewals from this experiences that has been shared here in recent times , cos this year i had chose not to renew until i am sure i have a travel plan to visit, to avoid un-used visas that i end up with... My B1/B2 expired in Sept and its definitely looking like i would be travelling to the US first week in Jan but from London. I haven't violated any visa usage/rules, so i am hoping i wont be slammed with an invite for interview.. When is the best time to drop my application for renewal, if i am to leave Lagos for London on the 21st December, and if all goes smoothly with the renewal, how long does it take to have the Passport&Visa ready for pick up? *trying to avoid December backlog stories that touch, hence my double checking with you all* Does 1st week in Dec look ok to submit? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by OmoBendel24: 4:36pm On Nov 08, 2018 |
Vuitton007: Now is the best time. It used to take between 5-10 work days before now. These days, it could take much longer. If I were you though, I will submit some 4 weeks ahead of my travel date. Some still get theirs renewed in two weeks and sometimes a little above that till now sha, but err on the side of 4 weeks.... 2 Likes |

Good day all, I'm new to this thread but have been catching up on the older posts. please i want to reapply via drop box with my family. Our B1/B2 just expired this month. Hope i can still renew via dropbox it even though it has just expired? |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by Beautyaddy: 6:19pm On Nov 08, 2018 |
lanrems: That is not true. Please stop giving out false statements. Nigerians are not the only people that have had a very hard time renewing their visas after caught using Medicaid for birthing in the US. You do know that it is the US State department that issues US passports?...as well as it's the same US State department that controls and monitors all the US embassies across their locations. 1 Like |
