I don’t know why y’all taking that curtisaxel7 guy serious, he is a joke lol. Just because of his hatred for nacho, he is trying so hard to play down the important of set piece. All his post/comments are based on emotive prejudice. I just can’t fathom why someone would resort to badbelleism for a young player who is working hard everyday to turn out good and bring smile to the faces of all Nigerians. Curtis man you gotta have to check yourself Cos you’ve totally lost your mind. So you mean set piece ain’t crucial no more? Let me juggle your memory to a nation cup match between Nigeria and Cameroon...we were one goal down and the pressure was really on us . Like a flash we got a free kick closed to Cameroon 18yard box.. jay jay okocha picked up the damn ball, arranged his shoe wella, then curled a banana-like freekick above the wall which sailed right into the goddamn net. Maybe dem never born you then. All this year 2000 kids dem nor go stop to dey run their mouth like tap.

I think I need to come into his defence...Curtis Neva downplayed d importance of set-piece,but his point hammered more on aw often iheanacho scores/create assist from set piece

He buttressed his point by saying nacho scored last from a set piece was against Argentina last year,wc is almost a year now, considering d way u guys lay importance on aw good he's when it comes to set piece conversion, den I think d ratio is very poor when compared to d likes of J/J okocha, juninho, and co whom we knw is very good in scoring from free kicks during his days

As far as I am concerned, a goal from set piece in a year shld not be considered as d "best".awever he can be d "best" compared to our present S/E players who don't knw aw to convert one.I pray he scores anoda one against SA if fielded, cos by next year,I doubt anybody will still regard him as d best set piece taker, scoring just one in two years by next year cool

NB...Moses simon also scored from a nice set piece against Swaziland (worldcup qualify)... So nacho/simon b mate cool

Oga the point is that Iheanacho is currently the best set piece taker in our team... Victor Moses was taking all the set pieces when he was around and it resulted in little or nothing most times.. We have Musa and Etebo who currently take it when they start but what has it resulted to?
Iheanacho hasn't taken that much set pieces but he has scored from one and hit d bar from another.. his last set piece lead to our second goal against Seychelles..
Give the lad some respect please

Meanwhile, those who are expecting Rohr to call up Eze,Billing, Lookman and other foreign born(abi two passport players ) for the Seychelles game even if we manage to grab the ticket in Jo'burg should chill..

Pinnick has asked Rohr to monitor the npfl players once the league resumes cus according to him, it will make no sense to call up 23 foreign based players for a game against a team like Seychelles.. I guess it's to save cost..

I understand there has been complaints about inviting foreign based that won't play. Our number 1 goal for the national team must be to get the best players and our best players are abroad.

They should just qualify in South Africa.

The growing pressure on Rohr to invite local players is uncalled for.

Even countries with far better leagues like Morocco and Algeria still use their European based players because they usually play at a higher level.

We should not go back to the days of quota system.

Iheanacho has been disappointing in recent times in the National Colours. Rohr will not play Nacho has 10. Never! He seems to have lost confidence in the young man.

This clamour is by confusionists. Our embarrassing performances in the continental competitions is a direct reflection of our league. Like you said, our best legs are outside. Every players dream in the local league is to play outside no matter the country.

I don't want to get involved in this Iheanacho argument but I will say the bitter truth. Since iheancho left Man city, he has dropped badly. Even if you don't play, training week in week out with the likes of De bryune and co improves your game. Guardolia no drive am comot, Guardolia said and i quote " He wants to move for first team opportunities, if the move goes through or not, he is still part of the group". The iheancho we saw against Tanzania and Zambia, where is he? Iheancho's goal that was goal of the week on CNN where is he?

Hmmm great points you have made. However I think I would have to admit that Iheanacho has become a staple here for bashing. Somehow, some of us seem to enjoy bashing the boy at any opportunity including me too sometimes. Balogun is now commander in chief of Brighton bench, how many times have we bashed him, let us do softly softly abeg.

Left to me,if not for d fact dt ighalo scored 5goals against Libya,I won't invite both ighalo and nacho, but d former has saved his ass, with d goals he scored, dey can't keep wasting slot,d likes of odey,osimhen,onyekuru,success.. Dis guys shld be tried and let c what dey can do too

And for d midfield too,we can still manage what we av,since dere re no feasible options @d moment,we can't keep fantasizing on players whom re not even ready to play for us,if not d likes of ogu, agu, ugwu grin grin,no go near my team again

blame the enemies of Nigeria football...who wanna make some cool cash from marketing these players....

players who will jump at any opportunity to play in some of Europe obsecure leagues....Latvia, Poland,Bulgaria, Serbia
and some of them even fail trials in those leagues....

left to me...the home based lads...should be left with CHAN to rejuvenate themselves and not the super eagles main team.
the super eagles is now a brand..every dick and Harry shouldn't just fetch a call up like that.
they should earn it....and not to be called on sentiments.

In addition to this, before you bash any player, ask yourself if you (the critic) are one of the best in your field of endeavour. If the answer is no, you will do well to remove the mole in your eye to be able to see clearly in taking away the beam in your neighbour's eye

The rate at which France is loosing their talents to African countries lately, is worrisome but I blame it on the avalenche of qualities they have scattered all over the top 5 leagues in Europe.

France is truly the king of the world presently, deservedly so

I want to disagree with you. The Iheanacho we are seeing now is the real Iheanacho. Iheanacho in City was
being spoon-fed. Playing with top class players sometimes places one on a false pedestal.
Apart from those two goals in the clash with Tanzania and Zambia, I for one can't see any other spectacular contribution that he made in those matches. Winning CNN goal of the week shouldn't be used as a criteria. Sikiru Olatunbosun's goal for MFM in NPFL also got that award. What about that?
So in essence, I don't think he has lost any special ability compared to his days at Man City

Going by your rule, almost nobody here is qualified to criticize any player then. Because I'm sure many of us are yet to attain the very apex of our career paths.

So we have no business here then, until we all "hammer".

Please compare the iheanacho at Man city who was confident, assured and played with a swagger than the jaded version we are seeing now. And yes training week in week out with world class players improves your game. Lukaku learnt a lot from Drogba at Chelsea. Watched a training video where Drogba trapped a ball with his instep and in the same fluid motion hammered the ball in the back of the net. Lukaku in 10 attempts could not do it. But he does it today. Iheanacho has dropped.
